Benefits
Maguiresbridge Piimary School's Pareni Support Group (PSG} provides numerous benefits
to the entire school communily and beyond. Pupils. along with their siblings and peers.
express great enthusiasm for the events organised by tlie PSG. These events a150 offer parents
valuable opportunities to connect and build friendships, addressin8 1 L'elings of isolation that
nwly adults exp¢rienc¢d post-COVID by breakllig down social barriers.
The majority of PSG events are open to the pUb￿c. which has been instnunental in
strengthening relationships between the sch(yoL neighbouring schools, businesses, and
members of the local community. This openness contributes to the school's positive
reputation within the community, largely due to the success of thcsc cvents. Both the school
and its staff gain significantly from the PSG'S efforts. particularly through financial support
that enables access to high-quality ICT equipment, reading materials: and sports equipment
for the pupils at thi% small ￿Tal primary school. The principal emphasise5 that thi,$ additional
fund ing is crucial during challenging financial times.
Furthemiore, PSG events facilitate collaboration between staff and parents, uniting them 11)
their shared objective of supporting the pupils and Ihe school. In numerous ivays. PSG evenls
prove to be beneficial to the ii.hole community.
