The trustees present their Trustees. Report and the unaudited financial stslements for the financial year ended 31
December 2023.
The financial slatements are prepared in accordance with the Charities Act (Northem Ireland) 2008, FRS 102 Yhe
Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland. and Accounling and Reporting by

The Trustees, Report contains the information required to be provided in the Trustees, Annual Report under the
Statement of Recommended Practice ISORP) guidelines. The trustees of the charity are also charity trustees for th6
purpose of charity law and under the charity's constitution are known as members of the board of trustees.
In this report the trustees of Charitable Donations of Richard Jackson of Forkill in the County of Annagh present a
summary of its purpose, governan￿, activities. achievemenls and finances for the financial year 31 December 2023.
Mlsslon, Objectives and Strategy
Objectives
Compliance with Public B8nefit
The Charity Trustees have had regard to the Charity Commission for Northem Ireland's statutory public benefit
guidan￿ to ensure that activities entered into during the year have helped to achieve the charity aims and objeclives
as well as providing public benefft.
The charitable trust was set up on 25 May 1789 following the death of Richard Jackson Esq. by an Act of Parfiament
for the clothing and educating of children of the Church of Ireland, making a decent provision for old tradesmen or
faMie￿ and to propagating the Christian Religion in the East. With thé passing of time changes have been made to
the categories by resolution passed by the board.
The charity makes contributions to schools, donations to Southern Area Hospice Services, Help the Homeless (food
bank) and CMSI.

Structure
Goveming Document
The principal document regarding govemancg of the charity is the will of Richard Jackson agreed under an Act of
Parliament in May 1789. The charity is an unincorporated organisation.
Organisational structure
The trustees are responsible for the day to day running of the charity. The board of trustees hold meetings quart8rly
throughout the ye8r.
The board of trustees should consist of tsvelve volunteers elected each year at an Annual Gèneral Meeting. New
trustee appointments are either from the younger generation of previous truste85 or are recommended to the board
of Iruste8s based on association with Ihg charity and its aims.
Revlew of Activities, Achievements and Performance
Durlng the financial year Ihe charity has
-donated to the Southern Area Hospice Services and North Louth Hospice.,
-contributed to the Newry Food Initiative.
Iven an educational payment to support a number of disadvantaged boys and girls attending St. Nlcholas Pre
School, Forkhill Playgroup and DunDealgan National School.,
onated to CMSI (for aid to the Dioces8 of North Klvu DRCI to help females in distress.

4onated to The Bishop's Appeal for the earthquakes in Turk8y and Syria.

The results for the financial year are set out on page 7 and additional notes ar8 provided showing income and
expenditure in greater detsil.

During the financial y8ar the charity continued to raise funds via rental income and dividend and interest income from
investments.

Results
At the end of the financial year the charity has assets of £596,925 (2022 - £597,039) and liabilities of £3,081 (2022
£3,486). The net assets of the charity have increased by £291.
Reserves Posltlon and Pollcy
The charity had restricted reserves of £593,844 at 31 December 2023 (2022: £593,553). There were no unrestricted
reserves at the year end.
The overall objectives are to create sufficient income and capitsl growth to enable the charity lo cary out its purposes
consistendy year by year with due and proper consideration for future needs and the maintenanc8 of, and if possible,
enhancement of the value of invested funds while they are retained.
