2023-2024: Trustee Annual Re ort Structure Governance Management The Friends of Clea PS is an association with registered Charity Status. All Parents and Carers of pupils in attendance of Clea PS, Keady are encouraged regularly to become involved and engage on all activities. The wider community is communicated with via social media platforms and welcome to partake in such activities. The Association is run by a small group of enthusiastic parents {past and currentl alongside teacher volunteers. The Board of Governors of Clea PS are fully supportive and wish to acknowledge the effort of all members on the Friends of Clea. The Association's events are reported regularly at staff and Governorfs meetings. Objectlves & Actlvltles The main objective of the Friends of Clea is to raise money through various fundraising activities and donations. The money raised is then directly donated to Clea PS, Keady for educational and enrichment purposes for all pupils in the school. In strivjng to achieve this objective, the a550ciation provides opportunities to Develop further relationship5 Within the school community and surrounding areas. Engage in activities supporting the pupils in their education. Provide additional resources that previously could have been funded by the EA delegated budget. Achievements and Performance A key target by the Friends of Clea was to develop a robust partnership and open communication channel between parents, school staff and community groups in the Surrounding areas of Keady/Clea. It aims to ensure that there is an integrated schedules of events to improve rural life by or8anising events that are inclusive of the whole community and while doing so, raising funds for the pupils, Effective Communication was clear as events and fundraisers were relayed electronically via parent newsletters, Social Media Channels, Posters in the Community etc. Several Social events were run over the 2023-2024 year with an empha515 on pupil led or family orientated. Financial Review The Friends of Clea are only too aware of the budget constraints placed on schools in this climate and endeavour to use their funds to directly beneflt as many pupils as possible. The Principal and Senior Management confirm that the funds provided by the Friends of Clea are essential in the running of the school. As a result of the mentioned events, this facilitated the school to purchase much needed resources for the school. Namely, l. An Outdoor Trim trail in the Outdoor Learning environment 2. A set of jerseys, shorts and socks for 25 pupils for attendin8 sporting events 3. 20 Headphones 4. P7 Leavers Jerseys. The Friends of Clea have come together to drive more fundraising initiatives in the coming year.
