Chairpersons report
Thanks to all for attending the 2024 AGM for Drummullan Communty Group which covers
the year to 31 March 2024
A synopsis of the activities of the group during the period under review is listed below
Toddler Group
This has been the main focus of DCG during the period under review. Launched in March
2023, we have been running a highly successful weekly Baby & Toddler Group in our local
Parish Hall. The Baby & Toddler group is attended by up to 35140 babies and pre-school
ehildren weekly who have access to a range of learning and play resources, kindly donated
by our community. Over the last 16 months, our Baby & Toddler Group has continued to
grow. with an average number of 80 babies, toddlers, parents, grandparents and carers
attending. This two-hour weekly event has provided a safe space within our community for
children to come together to socialize, play and have fun. We are invested in facilitating the
development of every child's emotional well-being, physical health, leaming and social
development. Through seff-directed and organized play, our weekly group helps children
build creativity and confiden￿, develop communication and cognitive skills, improve
coordination and balance. develop problem-solving skills and build relationships.
Feedback from parents and carers attending our Baby & Toddler Group is highly
positive, Gonfirming the positive effect of interaction with peers of the same a9e has
had on their child's development and wellbeing. The open accessldrop-in structure
helps combat isolation, allowing parentslcarers and children to come together to
build friendships with othets in similar situations.
Halloween Camp
During the school Halloween break the group ran, in conjunction with Activity Nl, a very
successful two day Halloween Camp. This was attended by over 30 children on each of the
days. The week was rounded off with our ever popular Halloween disco.
The group did not apply for any grant funding during the period under review.
In conclusion I'd like to thank all our committee, our volunteers, and the local community for
their continued support.
Following delivery of the treasurer and secretary's reports the existing committee will stand
