Chairpersons report Thanks to all for attendingthe 2023 AGM for Drummullan Community Group which covers the year to 31 March 2023 As the Covid pandemic eased and life returned to close to normality the community group began to reconnect with the community and continued to seek grants to equip our space with items that would benefit people as they began to make their way back into society and sought activities that would bring them togetheT With likeminded people A synopsls of the activities of the group durlng the period under review is listed below MUDC Arts. Culture. Heritage & Commun5ty Small Grant Thls grant provlded tuition costs for tutor led classes from Activity Nl for chlldren and was attended on each occasion by the maximum numbers permitted. The grant also Included an element of funding to meet runnlng costs as the group was required to pay to the leaseholder of the premises from whlch we operate £20 per session. DAERA Rural MI) Grant This year we were extremely aware of the importance of bringing people back tO8ether and were awarded fvnding for 2 pieces of keep fit equipment which are available to all members of the community, physical wellbeing contributing to better mental health. A massive thank you to all these funders for their continued support and to CWSAN who continue to provide a guidln8 hand where quIred. The war In Ukralne touched many people and the Community Group launched an appeal for much needed items and we were absolutely amazed by the generosity of people and businesses across the community in supporting this appeal. Our much-loved Halloween disco made a return in 2022 after a two year break. As we moved towards 2023 the group declded to trlal a weekly toddler mornlng. We sent out an appea5 for toys which was superbly supported, and we held our first Session on 15 March 2023. this is continuing Wednesday weekly and is attended by 20/25 toddlers and their parents/carers. Refreghments are provided and it provides a great settin8 for not only the toddlers to interact with each other but also a social setting for the adults. In conclusion I'd like to thank all our committee, our volunteer5, and the local community for their continued support. Following delivery of the treasurer and secretary's reports the existing committee will stand down and a re election of officers and committee will take place. Secretarfs report I would like to echo the chairpersons thanks to the funders without whom we would be able to continue and provide the programmes to our residents. In the year under review, I would like to acknowledge DAERA and MUDC for their unfailing sUPPOrt. To Conor and Marguerite in CWSAN thank you to all you do for u5, it is greatly appreciated. Treasurers report This report deals solely with the financial transactions undertaken to 31 March 2023 Opening bank balance as at l April 2022 was £1,887. Further funding received in the period under review came from grant funding, a one off donation and fund raising MUDC £1,080 DAERA £1.273.28 ONE OFF DONATION £100 FUND RAISING FROM AcfiviTIES £400.40 We repaid a temporary loan of £1,000. which had been loaned to the group during FYE 2022. Expendlture undertaken apart from the items/tuStlon costs secured under the various grants was minimal, bank fees, CWSAN annual membership, annual insurance and a spend of £189.65 on table, chalrs and drinking cups for our toddler group The closing balance in the financial period was £567.37 In conclusion I will now pass a copy of the Income and Expenditure report for this financlal period around and ask for a proposer and seconder that this statement accurately reflects the financial period l April 2022- 31 March 2023 Carol Devlin, Treasurer Proposed by Seconded by LoLLi&L trecaos '
