## **Summary of the charity’s main activities to further its purpose for the public benefit.**

The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include improved early educational experiences and preparation for transition to primary school for children in the local and wider community. This has a secondary benefit in allowing young mothers and fathers to free up some time to commit to part-time work. It relieves some expenses of childcare.

for those in work. Children attending will increase their socialisation and community

participation. The benefits are evidenced by the way that the children settle into their first year in primary school, according to teachers there. In addition, parents have verified benefits outlined in their responses to local surveys to gauge demand and ways to improve the service. There are no identifiable elements of harm or risk to families who engage with the setting. The charity's beneficiaries are people living in the Swatragh/ Maghera/ Kilrea districts who have a need for a pre-school place for their child in cases where other settings are oversubscribed or where their preference is for education through the medium of Irish. There is no private benefit flowing from this purpose.
