A summary of the Charity’s main activities to further its purposes for the public benefit and the main achievements in the year

During the 2024 - 2025 year, we had 8 girls taking part in Brownie activities. There were lots of different activities that took place to ensure that the Brownie programme was covered. Brownies meet every Tuesday in the Village Hall. During the year, the girls completed the Go Wild Badge and Scarlett’s Badge. They enjoyed all the activities that came with it. This included crafts, making fruit kebabs, making bird feeders and dressing in pink and teal. In September, the girls started the Go Wild Badge which included them learning about different animals, their habitats and how they survive. They finished the badge by completing a quiz about what they had learnt. In November, the girls took part in the local Remembrance Day Parade and Service. In December, Brownies organised a Senior Citizen’s Party which they all took part in. They took part by singing, dancing and acting out the Nativity Play. Everyone that came enjoyed the afternoon filled with great entertainment. In January, the girls attended Larne Cinema with the rest of Larne District to watch Panda Bear in Africa. The girls really enjoyed this night and liked seeing all the other Brownies from other units. In February we started Scarlett’s Badge. This was a District Badge in memory of a Brownie in a Larne Unit who sadly died in a car accident. For this badge, the girls made bird feeders, had a pink and teal party, made fruit kebabs which they put under a chocolate fountain and lent a hand at home and in the community. In March for St Patrick’s Day, the girls brought something green. Many of them brought green foods which allowed them to try different green foods that they wouldn’t usually try. Brownies also made crafts for Mother’s Day which were greatly received by their parents. In May, we celebrated VE Day. We celebrated by learning about VE Day and made decorations that were put up throughout the village for their celebration weekend. The community loved that the Brownies got involved with the celebrations. We ended the year with a Movie Night where we watched Encanto. The girls came in their pyjamas and brought a beanbag to sit on and enjoyed their supper afterwards The Brownies had a great year and enjoyed all the activities that they took part in which included games both inside and outside. There was no harm flowing from the Charities Purposes and that there was no private benefit.
