Charity Name Parent Teacher Association Annual Report Charity No . 108492

Period Start September 2022 Period End August 2023

These challenging times have seen a dip in fundraising throughout our local community. Regardless we, the PTA, have strived to raise funds through channels which we felt would be better supported. We work alongside the school in assisting in small fundraising efforts in house, to benefit school funds and other charities including uniform recycle scheme. The main PTA have been involved in 2 bigger fundraisers this financial year.

We arranged a shopping trip to Kildare Village where we put on a bus to take shoppers for a day of retail therapy. It was not as well attended as the previous year and the cost of coach hire was significantly higher as we had to accommodate a disabled passenger on the trip. We had quite a few bookings cancelled due to financial reasons. It was a well-advertised event and was offered out to all members of the school community and beyond. But unfortunately, we fell short of breaking even.

Our annual Christmas Craft Fair was arranged for the end of November 2022, where we welcomed a vast array of stall holders selling everything from bath bombs to chutneys. A real festive affair! It is always well attended and with Santa in tow, the local community do come in to support all our efforts.

We secured a grant from the Community Foundation Fibrus Fund of £2000 in May of 2023, which was used to buy much needed Ipads for the learning support unit within the school.

Financial donations to the school:

This year we have funded a staff well being day which took place at Limitless Adventure. The staff were very appreciative of the donation and really benefitted from this team building session away from the school environment.

We purchased 6 iPads with protective covers specifically for the learning support classes in the school. These resources were invaluable to the children’s progression and general education.
