## **Richhill Amalgamated Football Club Annual Trustees’ Report 2023/24 Charity Number NIC 108486** 

The purpose of Richhill AFC is to advance amateur football in the local area.  The Club aims to create a secure environment where members can play football and to promote sport by promoting participation in activities; offering members appropriate competition, helping members raise their sporting standards, organising local games of football and ensuring that all members of the community have an equal opportunity to participate. 

Richhill AFC operate within the County Armagh village of Richhill.  We provide free football for every member of the Club (aged 16 – 63) while we delivered 6 Holiday Youth Camps during the 2023/24 season with hundreds of girls and boys (aged 4-13) in attendance.  Due to the success of these Youth Camps we have established a Youth Academy for the season 2025/26.  Three local primary schools (Hardy Memorial PS, Hamiltonsbawn PS and Derryhale PS) used our facilities (free of charge) for either curriculum PE or for their annual Sports Days. 

Like all amateur sporting organisations, finances continue to be a challenge, however our Club Committee have managed to keep the Club in a favourable financial position through the organisation of many different fundraising events, securing business sponsorship and having good success with grant applications. 

The Club has also continued to develop its facilities since obtaining a lease from ABC Council in June 2023.  Such developments have seen the installation of a Community Cabin, water/electricity connection and spectator hard standing with sheltered area.  We are grateful to the different grant providers for supporting us with these improvements. 

We also continue to explore potential funding sources for the installation of an artificial floodlit football pitch (planning approval in place) for which we are “shovel ready”. 

The Trustees have reviewed these latest figures and are satisfied that the Club's finances are being managed and reported satisfactorily. Regular updates on financial matters are provided via Committee Meetings while an end of season report is provided at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in line with the Constitution.
