FRIENDS OF HOLY CROSS TRUSTEES ANNUAL REPORT YEAR ENDED 30TH JUNE 2024 The Trustees of the Friends of Holy Cross present their report together with the Independent Examined Financial Statements of the Chanty for the year ended 30th June 2024. STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT The Charty was registered with the Charity Commission for Northem Ireland on 10th of December 2021. The Charity's governing docurnent is the Constitution. It is governed by a Consts'tution adopted on 20 June 2017 Friends of Holy Cross is a group of volunteers made up of parents and friends meet several times a year. We fundraise in and around the school and the local community to help to provlde the school with additional resources such as gam8s, art supplies and equipment to advance the educats'on of the pupils. We encourage parents to become involved in their children's education and have a good relationship with the staff of the school. OBJECTIVE8 AND ACTIVITIE8 The objective of the charity Is to advance the education of the pupils in the school in particular by: Devebping effective relationships betren the staff, pareftts and others associated with the school. The beneffts that flow from this purpose includes fundlng for additional resources for Holy Cross Primary School, strengthening and building on our relationship8 viithin the local community. our teaching staff and Board of Governors of the school. Engaging in activities or providing facilities and equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils. ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE Charltsble actlvltles Dudng the year, the charity generated £1.753 from tractor run and santa visits. The money raised after expenses was used to purchase summer treats and easter eggs for the school.
FRIENDS OF HOLY CROSS PUBLIC BENEFIT STATEMENT In Setting objectives and plannlng activities for the year the Trustees have given careful conslderatlon to the Charty Commisston for Northern Ireland's guidance on publÉc benefit and are ¢onfidÈnt that the activities have helped to achleve the charty's purposès and pr<)vide a benefft to the beneficiaries. FINANCIAL RESULTS The maln source of Income of the charlty Is from fund raising activlties and donatlons. FINANCIAL RESERVES The Charity does not have a specffic policy on reserves, but the Treasurer aims to maintain enough money in the bank account to fund all forthcoming expenses, such as fioats and expenses for events and any commltments to the school. TRUSTEES RESPONSIBILITES IN RELATION TO THE FINANCIAL STATEMENT The charlty trustees are responslble for preparing a trustees, annual report and statement of accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Commission for Northern Ireland. The twstees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records that disclose with reasonable accuracy at any tlme the financial posrtion of the charty and to enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Charities Act (Northem Ireland) 2008 and the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015. They are also responslble for safeguarding the assets of the charity and taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
