Trustee's Annual Report for the Year Ending 31st March 2024
The Purposes of the Charity are;
1. Meet on a regular basis in a local venue and runs organised activities for its members
2. These meeting and activities bring local older people together, reducing isolation and loneliness
3. Provide activities such as exercise classes. craft classes and invites speakers on topics important to
older people, for example, Falls Prevention and Healthy Eating
4. The club organises days out and trips to places of interést, such as theatres an museums on a
regular basis
The Public Benefits of the Charity are;
1. Older people being less socially isolated, reducing loneliness and bringing them together to be
involved and invested in their local community
2. Older people learning new skills and being educated in issues crucial to them lo enable them to live
happier and fulfilled lives
3. The benefits can be evidenced by the numbers of people attending activities and the feedback
received after the programme is finished
4. New skills people learn at courses and by the number of programmes provided in a local venue
5. To provide social, recreational and educational advice and support to members

I report on the accounts of Loughmacrory 50+ Community Group for the year ending 31st
March 2024
Respeclive responsibilities of charity trustees and examiner
As the charity's trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance
with the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008. It is my responsibility to..
1. Examine the accounts under section 65 of the Charities Act
2. Follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission
for Northern Ireland under section 65{9)(bl of the Charities Acl
3. State whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of examiner's statement
I have examined your charity accounts as required under section 65 of the Charities Act and
my examination was carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity
Commission for Northern Ireland under section 65(9)Ibl of the Charities Act. The examination
included a review of the accounting records kept by the charily and a comparison of the
accounts presented with those records. 11 also included consideration of any unusual items or
disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as charity trustees concerning
any such matters.
My role is to state whether any material matters have come to my attention giving me cause to
believe-
1. That accounting records were not kept as required by section 63 of the Charities Act
2. That the accounts do not accord with those accounting records
3. That Ihe accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements of Ihe Charities Act
4. That there is further information needed for a proper understanding of Ihe accounts to be
reached.
Independent examiner's ststement I have completed my examination and have no concerns
in respect of the matters (1 } to14) listed above and, in connection with following the Directions
of the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland. I have found no matters that require drawing
to your attention.
