Hop82Families Company limited by guarantee Trustees, Annual Report Year frnded 30 June 2024 The trustees present their report and the unaudited financial statements of the charity for the year ended 30 June 2024. The trustees have adopted the provisions of the Statements of Recommended Practice {SORP) "Accounting and Reporting by Charities" (FRS 102> in preparing the annual report and financial statements of the charity. Objectlves and actlvltles The purpose of Hope2families, as set out in the Company's Memorandum of Association, is to help families who are suffering through the illness of cancer, and subsequently those affected by other debilitating illnesses, by bringing them hope through the Lord Jesus Chrisl. Hope2families in the last year has increased its vision and is continuing to help those affected with alcohol and drug addiction. Publlc benefit Statement 1) PES support for families | We want to provide practical, ernotional, and spiritual support for families that come our way, specifically those battling with cancer. 2) Instilling hope for families | We want to instil hope to any individual who comes in contact with our charity. 3) Restoration for families | We want to provide restorats'on for children, parents, and families; mending wounds and healing hurts. 4) Raising awareness for families | INe want to raise awareness for cancer sufferers, those with addiction and impoverished families, providing them financial support and making people aware of the difficult situations, families are so often plunged into. The public continue to benefit in many different aspects, with help being brought to all families whether that is hospital visits, hospital appointments, the Drop-ln café. rehabilitation referrals. Drug community appointments and speaking at various events by Marc Taylor throughout the year. Achievements and performance 1) Diverse online content. We live in an age of technology, so we viant to utilise it. We upload various content on a range of platforms, including podcasts, some of our posts witFv one post have reached 250K viewing audience. We have endeavoured in the last year to engage ¥vith a wider audience and providing many motivational and encouraging posts in relation to addiction, cancer and mental health. 2) Our Programs. We provide informative training programs such as education on drug and alcohol rehabilitation. education on supporting those with cancer and our'abiding support prograin, whereby we help those with cancer understand their diagnosis, cOnc11e their diagnosis and adjust to life with their diagnosis. In the last year we have overseen several drug addicts going into recovery and 50Y have not relapsed. 3) Events. The HOPE2FAMILIES building is continuing to be used as a hub for various events, in the past year we hosted two groups from USA that were on a UK and Ireland Tour of Worship. The local Age Gonrn community support has also inquired about beginning to use the building for Dementia Support meetings. 4) Hands of hope. This is the Pfactical hands-on side of the charity; this has continued to be a huge benefit to people not just in Coleraine but as far away as Bangor and Donaghadee. How we reach the

A key focus of our charity is visiting families and providing support for families within our local community through the various programs and resources that we run. 5) Wildfire. This is the youth branch of the charity, which has a focus of helping young people aged 17- 24, through the events that we wn and the content we produce. Wildfire has held monthly Saturday night events, and these continue to be well attended with new faces coming regularly. 6) Prison. We continue to visit prisoners in both Maghaberry and Magilligan and had the privilege of speaking in the Magilligan Prison church with a huge number of prisoners attending. 7) Hospital Visits. These visits have increased somewhat over the last year with I0 days per week on average (sometimes more) and also continuing to visit many on their discharge. Hope2families in the last financial year has continued to achieve its purpose and goals. We have saw an increase in numbers coming to Hope Café especially on a Friday for soup kitchen. Over the year we have been privileged to provide groceries and household appliances to various families. The monthly Friday night movie and pizzalpopcorn nights have proved to be a great susS with many comlng from the local community. Flnanclal revlew The financial results are as set out on pages 8- 10 of the accounts. The charity's main Sour of income is from donations. Total income for 2024 was £32,419 compared to 2023 of £60.663. Total expenditure for 2024 was £47,292 compared to 2023 of £55.907. Structure, governance. and management The board of trustees named above continue to work to be the accountability and over-riding decision making management of the operation of the charity. This is achieved through quarterly and regular planned trustee meetings at which a full outline of past progress and strategic fomard planning and any financial changes are discussed, and the appropriate minutes recorded. Financial accountability is always made readily available through regular recording, reIpt keeping. and all monies being handled from the free-will offering box within the Hope2Families centre. all of which is accounted for by two people being present.
