lovely way to slart the Christrnas season. We then had the privilege of singing again at the
Cathedral, with the Lisbum Community Orchestra on 161h December. Great fun was had by those
who made il to the Ulsler Radio live in Lisbum's Lagan Island. Thank8 lo Caroline Stewart lor

Charltles:
At the beginning of this choir year, had nominated 2 charities to support through our Concert,
Pretty'n'Pink and Angel Vmshes. We vKre delighted to raise awareness and money for such
worlhy causes. One of our choir members, Samantha Connor, organised Ihe charity colleclions for
both, and her company, John Thompson & Sons Ltd. Match funded up to £2000. We were able to
give both charities £2000 each.
Soclals:
We finished off our choir year with Breakfast at Café Vic Ryn. But we were nol qulle finished yel-
on 23￿ June somè of the choir members ￿nt to the new garden space at the Musgrave Park
Hospital lo sing. It was a scorching hot day, and it was well roceived by all who ￿re there.
Board of Trustees
Our Board of Trustees. work tirelessly in the background. Nol only do each of them bring thèir own
unique gifts and skills, bul they also sing, leam Klrds and in Dessie's case, also do the PPT at the
Ulster Halll
I NWJuld like to thank all of them, they are what makes this choir work smoothly, including My
husband, Tim, who has taken the minules for us since Jane Dawson left. I know l am leaving il all
in very good and Gapable hands. Carol Johnston is also stepping down this year, and we want to
Ihank her for her commitment to the children's choir especially.

I can't mention the Trustees without mentioning our dear friend, Liz Cunningham. Liz had been
involved since the beginning of Lisbum Communty Choirs, and it was such a privilege lo sing at
her funeral. I think for all of us, the most poignant moment was the softly sung 'Fix You, as the
coffin was taken out of thécathedral. The thole service was a real tribute to Liz, whD she was, as
friend, mum, nana and choir member. Liz had planned to step down from the Board of the choir
this AGM. She leaves a big hole in our lives, we will miss her. but know she is singing with the
angels, and her beloved husband.
Thanks and final remarks
Finalty, thanks to our musical director, Tim Reynolds and his accompanist, Sharon Hodgins.
Wrthout you both, and your gifts and skills, we would be a bunch of people croaking out notes
randomlyl You get the best out of us all, and we thank you for your commitment and &nlhusiasm.
