The Trustees present their Annual Report and Financial Statements for the year ended 31 December 2022 including a Statement of Assets and Liabilities as at that date. STRucfuRE AND MANAGEMENT The Governance arrangements are as follows: Aughnacloy Presbyterian Church Community Group is registered as a Co Ltd and have received charitable status. We have three cheque signatories and have a bank account in the name of the group. Currently we have a lease agreement from Omagh Presbytery for 25 years to manage and run this community hall. PURPOSE AND DESCRIPTION The charity's objects are specifically restricted to the following: To sUPPOrt the advancement of the Christian religion by promotin& through the work of Aughnacloy Presbyterian Church the whole mission of the Church, pastoral, evangelistic and social. Being open to and engaging with society as a whole and offering support for those needlng help are fundamental to the practical delivery of the benefit5 of Christianity. As a result of activity in the pursuit of the advancement of the Christian religion, Aughnacloy Presbyterian Church Community Group has custody of a church hall which will be used by various groupings to advance the mission of the church. ACTIVITIES AND OBJECTIVES Within the reporting period the church hall has been used by a number of organisations and hosted a number of events such as: Sunday School Bible Class Youth Fellowship Presbyterian Women's Group Frlends Together Walking Group Boys, Brigade Creche Slim with Jill Church committee group Coffee mornlngs Craft Fayre Mlssion First Aid Training Holiday Bible Club
ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE Sunday School met on a weekly basis within the hall, broadly in line with the academic calendar, with upwards of 30 children In attendance. Boys, Brigade also used the hall on generally weekly basis in line with the academic calendar. A mission was held in December with a number of people from the congregatlon and wlder community in attendance. A Hollday Bible Club was held in June and a large number of children, upwards of 100, from the surrounding area came along. The hall was used for a number of pastoral and soclal activities throughout the year including: Presbyterian Women's Group, Friends Together, Walking Group, Slim with Jlll, Coffee mornings, Craft Fayre and First Aid Training The Trustees wish to acknowledge their deep appreciation of those who give freely of their time by serving on committees and helping with organisations and other church artivities. PUBLIC BENEFIT STATEMENT By belng open to and engaging with society as a whole and offering support for those needing help in a demonstration of the practical delivery of the benefits of Christianity. FINANCIAL REVIEW The Church Community Group's main source of income is members. contributions whlch have donated a total of £13,7331£15,816 in previous year, 2021) Total income of the congregation during the year was £20,044, compared to £25.949 in the previous year. Total expenditure decreased from £11,656 to £8,081. STATEMENT OF TRUSTEE RESPONSIBILITIES The Trustees are responsible for preparing the annual report and the financial statements of the congregation in accordance with applicable law and generally accepted accounting practice. As the congregation's total income does not exceed £250,000, the Trustees have elected under Section 6413) of the Charities Act {Northern Ireland) 2018 to prepare a receipts and payment account and a statement of assets and liabilities. The Trustees are responsible for keeping adequate accounting records that are sufficient to show and explain the congregation's transactions and disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time Its financial position. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the
congregation and hence for taking reasonable steps for the preventlon and detertlon of fraud and other irregularitles. Approved by the Committee at a meeting on IS March 2023 and signed on its behalf by Derek Loane
