Organlse or assist in organising meetings, lectures, classes and exhibitions, and publish or assist in publishing reports, periodicals, recordings, books or other documents or information.Remember the brave men and women of our Armed Forces who have paid the ultimate sacrifice from WWI to the present day. Promote and carry out, or assist in promoting and carrying out research, surveys and investigations and publish the useful results thereof. Recruit and train volunteers with relevant skills to carry out the purposes of the Charity. Support our Armed Forces and our Armed Forces charities and leave a legacy for future generations. Achievements & Perfomiance •Celebrated the 15th Anniversary of the Ancre Somme Association Charity with a commemorative dinner at Brownlow House, hosted by BBC presenter Liam Beckett MBE, bringing together member5, SUPPOrters. veterans, and community representatlves. •Continued to promote the charity's core aims of Educatlon. Recrultment and Appolntment of Volunteers The Trustees welcome new volunteers to help with the running of the charity, any new volunteers initially meet with the Trustees so they have a understanding of the work involved are glven training and support. Statement of Trustees, Responslbllltles The Trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustee'5 Report and the Statement of Receipts nd Payments and Statement of Assets and Liabilities in accordance with applicable law and regulations. The law applicable to Charities in Northern Ireland with income of less than £250,000 requires the Trustees to prepare a statement of Receipts and Payments and a Statement of L55ets and Liabilities for each financial year. The Trustees are responsible for keeping accounting records that are sufficent to show and explain the transactions and disclose with reasonable accruacy at any time the Assets and Liabilities of the charity. They are a150 responsible for safeguarding the A55ets of the charlty and hence taking resaonable Steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularitie5. Statement as to disclosure to our examlners In so far as the trustees are aware at the timing of approving our trustees, annual report: there is no relevant audit information of which the charity's auditor is unaware: and the trustees have taken all steps that they ought to have taken to make themselves aware of any relevant audit information and to establish that the charity's auditor is aware of that information. Publk Benefit Statement The trustees are satisfied that it adheres to the public benefit test set out by the Charities Commission of Northern Ireland due to the objectives it provides. It is my responsibility to.. examine the accounts under sertion 65 of the Charlties Art; follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland under sectlon 65191(bl of the Charities Act- and State whether particular matters have come to my attention. Basls of Independent Examlnels report I have examined your charity accounts a5 required under sertion 65 of the Charities Act and my examination was carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland under section 6519llbl of the Charities Act. My examination included a review of the attounting rècords kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also included consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seekin8 explanations from you as charity trustees conterning any suth matters. My role is to state whether any material matters have come to my attention giving me cause to believe: l. That accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 63 of the Charlties Act 2.
