Ob ertNes and activtties Carrickfergus Baptist Church ("the Churth") acknowledges the headship of Jesus Christobtr his Churth and exists to glorify the triune God by maintaining and promoting his worship both individually and corporately. The principal charitable object of the Church is the advancement of the Christian fatth according to the teaching of scripture, and the Doctrinal StatemenL Its members devote themselves to the teaching of scripture, to fellowship, breaking of bread, prayer, and evangelism. The activities carried out by the Church include: holding regular seprfices for public worship, prayer. Bible study. preaching and teaching for all age groups. providing pastoral care to the members of the church through visttation and prayer. organising meetings and events that promote our charitable purpose. participating in the life of the local community. supporting other Christian organisations and charities through volunteering. financial gifts and prayer. The trustees have paid due regard to guidance issued by the Charity Commission in deciding what activities the church should undertake. Achievements and erformance The Church meels the public benefft requirement by providing benefrt to tts members and the public by making known the Christian gospel of the Lord Jesus Christthrough the advancement of the Christian fatth. The trustees continued to provide weekly Sunday services offering opportunity for prayer, Bible teaching and worship through the singing and the hearing of God's word. The desire is to have more involved in Prayer, Bible Study and worship. Adults The church continued to provide benefit to its members and public by making known the Christian Gospel and thus offering reconciliation with God to all those who hear. Carrickfergus Baptist church offers the opportunity to meet in various groups throughout the year. This provides the attendees an avenue to pray, study Gods word and to discuss its implications for Christian living. Monthly events are held to promote a wider understanding of the Christian church worldwide, providing a Christian worldview and the ability to offer prayer. These groups have included prayer and study groups, prayer meetings, missionary focus nights and Precept bible study classes. Children. Young children up to year nine, are cared for in a variety of events, including Sunday school and youth club, engaging children with crafts, games and lessons from the Bible. At the request of the local community the church operates a Sunday children's class in the local communtty centre. Teens. Teenagers are offered activities to promote personal relationships and in developing a relationship with God. This can be in form of away time, fellowship nights and Bible study groups. Communrty The Trustees provide resources to help with those in need from within the local communities. There are also volunteers serving CAP, Christians Against Poverty, a UK based charity for anyone struggling with debt.
