6. Objectives and Activities

The direct benefits which flow from these purposes include provision of a range of educational, cultural, social and recreational activities within the communities of Letterbreen and Mullaghdun, providing the inhabitants with the opportunity to avail of activities that assist improve their educational attainment, cultural knowledge & awareness, health & well-being, social interaction and their conditions of life through accessing activities that would not normally made available to them. Many of these activities are organised by the partnership linking with other statutory organisations and voluntary organisations. People in the area have also become better friends. Benefits of the activities are evidenced by measurement of numbers participating in activities and receiving of feedback from participants. The beneficiaries are the local people in the area. The only private benefit flowing from our purposes are that Letterbreen and Mullaghdun Partnership members and their families can participate in all activities, and this is incidental and necessary to ensure that all inhabitants of the area can potentially benefit. There is no harm flowing from the purposes of Letterbreen and Mullaghdun Partnership.

7. Public Benefit Statement

The trustees of Letterbreen and Mullaghdun Partnership confirm that they have complied with their duty under section 17 (5) of the Charities Act 2011 to have regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit and that the public benefit requirement has informed the activities of the Society in the year to 31 December 2023.
