## Activities

**Purposes:** The Charity’s purposes (‘the Objects’) are to:- (1) To advance community development and rural regeneration in the Ards Peninsula areas of Ballyhalbert, Ballywalter, Carrowdore, Cloughey, Greyabbey, Kircubbin, Millisle, Portaferry, and Portavogie (the “area of benefit”) and in particular the promotion of the community and voluntary sector for the benefit of the public by: (a) Development of opportunities to promote the area and enhance the visitor and local community’s experiences. (b) Encourage economic and social development through signposting and/or creation of opportunities to enhance employability for local people. (c) Work in partnership with others to restore, safeguard and create access to the environment and heritage including historical sites on the Ards Peninsula. (d) Provide opportunities for community groups to network to build healthier, safer and stronger communities across the Ards Peninsula where member organisations can join together to find mutual support, exchange views, share common issues and information, create a collective voice and work in partnership promoting equity, diversity and interdependences.
