(Limavady Initiative for Prevention of Suicide)

Trustees’ Report

For the year ended 31 August 2025 (cont'd)

In 2023/24 LIPS Trustees reviewed our three year Strategic Plan and continued to deliver a range of mental health interventions within the Limavady, Roe Valley and East Londonderry catchment area. Our new town centre location in Limavady allowed us to improve access and visibility at a local level. Having this presence has continued to raise the profile of LIPS as we continue to work closely with local stakeholders, statutory agencies and those who need our services.

The activities carried out from our new location include mental health advice and support services, signposting, suicide prevention training, suicide prevention campaigns and events, and a range of wellbeing classes and workshops.

The primary beneficiaries include local individuals and their families affected by suicide, local community groups, local businesses wishing to promote suicide prevention and local primary schools availing of our wellbeing workshops. Our geographical catchment area includes the Limavady, Roe Valley, Dungiven, Claudy, Greysteel, Eglinton, Magilligan and wider East Londonderry constituency.

The Trustees have had regard to the Public benefit guidance issued by the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland.
