In 2023124 LIPS Trustees reviewed our three ycar Strategic Plan and continued to deliver a range
of mcntal health interventions within the Limavady, Roe Valley and Easi Londonderry
catchment area. Our new town centrc location in Limavady allowed us lo iinprove access and
visibility at a local Icvel. Having this presence has continued io raisc the profile of LIPS as we
continue to work closely with local stakeholders, statutory agencies and those who need our
services.
The activities carried out from our new location include mental health advice and support
qervices, signposting, suicide prevention training, suicide prevention campaigns and events, and
a range of wellbeing classes and workshops.
The primary beneficiaries include local individuals and their familie8 affected by suicide, local
community groups, local businesses wishing io promote suicide prevention and local primary
schools availing of our wellbeing workshops. Our geographical catchment area includes the
Limavady, Roe Valley, Dungiven, Claudy, Greysteel, Eglinton, Magilligan and wider East
Londonderry constituency.
The Trustees have had regard to the Public benefit guidance issued by the Chai'ity Coinmission
for Northern Ireland.

We report on the accounts ot.the LIPS (Liinavady Initiative for Preventkoii of Suicide) for the
year eiidcd 31 August 2024, which are set out on pages 6 to 7.
Respective rcsponsibilities of charity trustees and examiner
As the charity's trustces you are responsiblc for the preparation of the accounts in accordance
with the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
It is our rcsponsibility to:
cxamine the accounts under section 65 of the C,harities Act
follow the procedures laid down in the geiicral Directions givcn by the Commission
under section 65(9)(b) of the CharÉties Act
state whether particular matterg have comc to our attention.
Basis of independent examiner's report
We have eX￿Mined your charity accounts as rcquired under section 65 of the Charities Act
aiid our examRnation was carried out in accordance with the gencral Directions givcn by the
Ch￿ltY Commission for Northern Ireland under section 65(9)(b) of the Charities Act.
Our examination included a review of the accountingJ records kept by the charity and a
comparison of the accounts prescntcd with those records. It also included consideration of
any uiiusual items or disclosures iii the accounts, and s¢eking explanations from you as
charity trustc¢s concerning any such matters.
Our role is to state whether any matcrial matters havc come to our attcntion giving us cause
to believe:
l. That accounting records were not kept in accordance with s¢ction 63 of
the Charities Act
2. That the accounts do not accord with those accounting records
3. That thc accounts do not coinply with the accountingF requireinents of
the Charities Act
4. That there is further inforn]ation needed for a proper undcrstanding of the
accounts to be reached.
