Achievements and performance
After we delivered our summer school on July 8th - 18th 2022. unfortunalely we were unable to deliver
our summer school in 2023. Following this we reflected in our previous report that we identified some
shortcoming in our organisation where by the delivery of Our project is spread thinly over the organisation
8$ a whole. Subsequently, our academic partner, University of Masschusetts, Boston announced that it
no longer had adminislralive capacity lo organise the summerschool in the future. This coincided with
the founding ofa new summerschool by one ofthe IPER directors. Maeve McLaughlin and with a debate
now about the future ol IPER itself. 11 was decided that the summerschool dimension should be
discontinued, and IPER should shift ils focus to more locally based work concentrating on community
based learning and inlervenlion. Following this refocusing, a number of new directors were appointed,
followed by the stepping down of the direclors who had been associated with the summerschool, with
the exception of the Chairperson, Stephen Field, who remained for a period oltime.
Followng meetings of the new directors. both via Zoom and face to face, the Articles of Association
were amended lo reflect the new, more local focus of the work. The outgoing directors voted to pass
the remaining financial assets of the company on 10 5UPPOrt this new direction of the work. The new
directors expressed their gratitude for this generous act.
