## Activities

**Purposes:** The Charity&#x27;s objects (the objects) are to promote the area of benefit of Conlig; comprising of the west side of the dual carriageway from and including Smylies Sheds, along the Old Bangor Road, Bangor Road, Main Street, Old Bangor Road, Little Clandeboye until and including the Somme Heritage Centre, (known after as the area of benefit), without distinction of age, sex, sexual orientation, race, ethnic identity, political or religious or other opinion by cooperating with the statutory authorities, voluntary and community organisations and residents, in common effort to: a.	Establish or secure the establishment of a community base/centre and maintain and manage it for activities promoted by the association; b.	Provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and other leisure time occupations with the object of improving the conditions of life for residents in the area of benefit; 1.	Advance education and arts, culture and heritage through the engagement and promotion of projects, commemorations and other activities which are local and specific to the area of benefit and to pursue the development of a War Memorial recognizing the contribution of those lost to the Great War and World War Two. 2.	Promote health and healthy recreation through the provision of local facilities and services. 3.	Relieve those in need by reason of age, youth, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage. 4.	Promote the protection, enhancement of the natural and built environment and the provision of facilities and services to further enhance the life those who live and work in the area of benefit. 5.	To promote citizenship, using community development good practice guidelines and utilising community consultation and engagement regarding issues concerning changes or development within the area of benefit. c.	Promote good community relations, religious and racial harmony and equality and diversity; d.	Promote other such charitable purposes as may from time to time be determined.
