Belcoo Community Playgroup had income during the year, which comprised that of grant funding from Education Authority Northern freland amounting to £ 37,014, Grant Income froma local Wind Turbine company (£1,700), DAERA (£2,484) and Fermanagh and Omagh District Council (£270), together with some fundraising / donations.

Independent examiner’s report to the charity trustees of Belcoo Community Playgroup
| report on the accounts of the Trust for the year ended 30 June 2025, which are set out on the attached Income and Expenditure account.
Respective responsibilities of charity trustees and examiner
As the charity's trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2013.
It is my responsibility to:
¢ examine the accounts under section 65 of the Charities Act
e follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Commission under section 65(9)(b) of the Charities Act
e state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of independent examiner's report
| have examined your charity accounts as required under section 65 of the Charities Act and my examination was carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland under section 65(9)(b) of the Charities Act.
My examination included a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also included consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as charity trustees concerning any such matters.
My role is to state whether any material matters have come to my attention giving me cause to believe:

That the accounts do not accord with those accounting records

That the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements of the Charities Act

1. ACHIEVEMENTS & PERFORMANCE
Belcoo Community Playgroup continued to invest in the services provided to the beneficiaries, which includes expenditure on relevant equipment. The Trustees ensured that all available funding was sourced and expended appropriately.

2.1 Financial Performance

2.3 Financial Management and Reserves Policies
Belcoo Community Playgroup has a Financial Management Policy which meets the requirements of the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015, relating to charity accounting and reporting commenced on 1 January 2016. The accounts have been prepared in accordance with the Statement of Recommended Practice: Accounting and Reporting by Charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) issued on 16 July 2014 and the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the United Kingdom and Republic of ireland (FRS 102) and the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015 and UK Generally Accepted Practice as it applies from 1 January 2015.

Structure, Governance, and Management

Belcoo Community Playgroup is an unincorporated association and is governed by a constitution adopted in 18 October 2021
ii. Trustee Selection and Management
Belcoo Community Playgroup is managed by an Executive Committee which consists of all the appointed trustees. The Executive Committee meets typically once per month.
- Objectives and Activities
Charitable Objects
Belcoo Community Playgroup is a not for profit organisation established to promote play based learning environments for all children under statutory school age (hereinafter referred to as the beneficiaries) of Belcoo and surrounding areas, without distinction of age, gender, marital status, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, ethnic identity, political or religious opinion; by involving statutory authorities, community organisations, inhabitants and parents/carers in a common effort to advance education. In particular, to advance education in the areas of: a) Offering safe and appropriate play, education and care facilities with the right of parents/carers to take responsibility for and to become involved in the activities of the group b) Promote the
preservation of health of the beneficiaries c) Support the values and principles of the early years organisation and the aims of the pre-school curriculum NI.
7. Public Benefit Statement
The trustees of Belcoo Community Playgroup confirm that they have complied with their duty under section 17 (5) of the Charities Act 2011 to have regard to the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit and that the public benefit requirement has informed the activities of the Society in the year to June 30 2025.
