Tultyalty, Curynierln. Lettersh8ndoney. and Eglinlon. Our presence in local sd￿1$, particularty in areas of high
¢Jeprivation, 811ow$ us lo offer lailored programmes. Addilionalfy, the Association $e¢ures funding 10 8ddre8s issues
such as mental health and environmenlal concems. Summer aclivffje8 are offered al a raduced cost, and
throughout the year. leadership and volunteer development programmes support members and Ihe wlder
communlly.

The trustees have paid due regard to guidance issuèd by The Charity Commisslon for Northem Ireland in declding
what actlvitles the charity should undertake.

YOUTH ACTIVITIES - Thls was anothei busy year for young peopFe, with 8 variety of programme$ engaging and
thallenglng them in a fun, lriendty and safe environment. The Education Authority funded programmes allows us to
engage with young people across 5 geographical ar&8$, includin9 the introduction of 2 rural communfies, from
primary 5 up. Engaging in a variety of lrips. re5ideMial$, fomial and infomal training and project work. Securing
funding from olher sources induding the Asda Foundation and Halifax Foundalion ID enhance the summer
programmes
MENTORING - I4Mth funding receNed from the Briltsh Sden¢e Associat￿n and delNered by the Ideas Fund, in
partnership wllh Ulster Univers-ty. we ran a one lo one girls mentoring programme. Researchers from Ulster
University will produce a research piece whith will be used to inlorm future one to one mentoring piogrammes.
DEVELOPMENT - Our slralegic prioritles continue to shape our operations, with key fundlng Secured from NIE
Networks for a new webstte. Dery City and Strabane Districl Coundl for planning building improvements, and from
National Lottery Communily Fund Ihe crealion of a Chlll Out Room, a safe space for emotional and behavloural
support.

In response to rising running costs and increasing competiti'on for grants, Londonderry YMCA continues lo f¢)cus on
diversifying its income streams. while remaining heavily reliant on Education Authority funding for core youth
activities. Unrestricted income from faC￿ty hire provides some support. bul on90ing efforts to secure additional
funding remain critical.

Strabane District Council. Halifax Foundation. Nattonal Lottery Communty Fund, Northem Ireland Electricity,
Policing and Communty Safety Portnership RAPID, The Klng George Fund and Waterside Neighbouthood
Partnership which allows us to njn addjtitinal programmes to achieve our objectives and conlribute to the increased
runnlng costs ol th8 facility.
The association 18 Situated on a 20 acre site with a t4YO Storey, 500 Sq metre building and a 300 Sq Metre Hub,
which make$ up the majorty of the value of our assets.
The associatlon generates some unreslrlded Income from the of hs facilitTres to other communlty groups.
