Objectlves and Activities:
Crossgar Youth League has existed since June 1969 prowd;ng a cross community summer kntball
league for children aged 4-12 years and Fun day, covering all SOc￿*con0rn￿ groups It is entlrety fUI
by volunteers and is funded by individual membership, lundraisin& sponsorship. and grants
Crossgar Youth League wa5 established and exists for the objective of advancement of Amateur Youth
football for children aged 4-12 regardless of feligion, ethnic origin. or personal background to
encourage better commun.lty relations.
The Youth League plays on a Tuesday night for I I weeks over the summer. With the sho%*Pyece Open
and Finals Day taking place at the Start of August
We also have an annual presentation event at the start of September where awards are distnbuted
Every chlld receives an award or trophy for participation along with trophies for winners and runners
up for all league and cup competitions
The benefits that flow from Crossgar Youth League charitable purposes are.
Increased participation in sport for children both boys and girls
Development of physical, mental. social. and moral standards which promote good alizenshtp
In children
Maximising the potential of young footballers.
These benefits are demonstrated througli feedback from participants and beneficiaries and by the
level of uptake of our activities.
The purpose of our charity will not lead to any harm, The club's membership Is charged to cover
running costs. These are reasonable, transparent, and non-exclusive The Trustees of Crossgar Youth
League had regard to the Commission's Public benefit requirement.
Achoevements and Performance
2024 proved to be a fantastic year for Crossgar Youth League. We had a total of 220 participants and
a record number of volunteers across a wide range of areas. Tuesday nights were extreniely well
attended acr055 all age groups and the support for the young players was excellent.
The end of year prize givin& and finals day turned out to be one of the best days we have had in yoars.
Although the football finals were the centre piece the presence of tlie Fairground, inflatables and ice
cream stand and BBQ provided additional entertainment for all the years participants, siblings, and
parents All In all, a K'ery successful year.
