The trustees P￿sent the annual report together with the financial statements of the charty for the
year ended 31 De￿mber 2024.
Objects and aims
Holywood Baptist Church (￿he Church.) acknowledges the headship of Jesus Christ over his
Church and exists to glorify the triune God by maintsining and promoting his worship both
individually and corporately.
The prinapal Charitab￿ object of the Churth is the advancement of the Christian faith according to
the teaching of scripture, understOLKI in its historical and evangelical sense, the Doctrinal
Statement and Baptist principles. Its Members devote themselves to the teaching of scripture, to
fellowship. breaking of bread, prayer and evangelism.
Objectives, strategies. and activities
The activities ￿rrIed out by the Church indude:
- holding regular ServI￿S for public ￿￿rShip. prayer. Bible stuty. preathing and teaching for all age
groups;
- providing pastoral care to the members of the church through visitation and prayer;
- organising meetings and events that promote our charitable purpose;
partiapating in the life of the local community;
- supporting other Christian organisations arKI charities through volunteering. finanaal gifts and
prayer.
The trustees have paid due ￿gard to guidaft￿ issued by the Charty Commission in deciding what
activities the Church should undertake.
Publlc benefft
The Church meets the public benefit requi￿rnent by providing benefit to its members and the
general public by making krK)wn the Christk8n gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ through the
advan￿ment of the Christian Faith.
The Church continues to reach out into the communty in several ways through different
organisations as follows:

The trustees confimi that they have (x)mplied with the requirements of the Charities Act (Northem
Ireland) 2008 to have due regard to the public benefit guidan￿ published by the Charity
Commission for Nothem Ireland.

Achievements and perfornmnce
2024 was a year where there was cause to look back and reflect on the gocxjness of God to the
fellowship with the highlights being ￿corded in the Annual Rewt. which is available on request
from the church office.
Financial review
The churth recorded a net surplus for the year of£56.176
Closing unrestricted reserves at 31 De￿rnber 2023 were £23.983
Closing unrestricted reserves at 31 December 2024 were £45,159
Policy on reserves
It is Churth policy to maintain a balan￿ on unrestricted funds (rf possib￿> which equate to at least
4 months unrestricted payrrEnts to cnver emergency situations that may arise frwi ts'me to time.
This is estimated at £48.000 of unrestricted fvnds and on 31 December 2024 the Churth had
£45,159 of unrestricted funds awdilable.
