2.1 The charitable purposes of Cleamalrl Felr8te- The Belfast Wren Boys are: (a) to
enhance the traditional 8rt8wlth emphasls on the promotlon of thelrish language
through indigenous arts espec18lly mu8lc. poeiry, dance, son& drama. rnumming and
the Wren Boy tradition: {b) to enhance the educational and social experiences of people
of all ages with an emphasis on soclal Incluslon. community development and peace
and reconciliation ihrough the provlslon of Indigenous arts: (c) to develop and provide a
programme of events in the area of benelii; Id) io develop and provide arts. cultural,
educational and comrwnity dwelopment events throughout the year in the area of
benefit: (e) to provide skills training and personal develOW￿nI capacity and
opportunities for all citizens In the area ot benefit: (n to offer people in the area of

benefit the opportunlty to participate In actlvities based on arts and crafts, muslc. Song,
drama, storytelllng, poetry and dance; {g) To enhance community links between the

Chairman's opening statemant
1. Jackie Macmullen presented a report of the significant ev8nts of the previous year. He
stated that the main go81 for this year. to develop the organisation was successful. The
organisation'5 goal to begin applyrng for grants in order to continue our work was a
success as we managed to obiain a grant from the Ultach trust and have progressed an
application lor fundingthrough Foras na Gaeilge. The organisation is continuingto
develop artistic materialfor performances and we have managed to recruit and train
new performers.
