Charitable purposes
2.1 The charitable purposes of Cleamairi Feirste - The Belfast Wren Boys are:
(a) to enhance the traditional arts with emphasis on the promotion of the Irish
language through Indigenous arts especially music. poetry. dance. song.
drama. mumming and the Wren Boy tradition: (b) to enhance the
educational and social experiences of people of all ages with an emphasis
on social inclusion. community development and peace and reconciliation
through the provision of indigenous arts: (c) to develop and provide a
programme of events in the area of benefit: (d) to develop and provide arts,
cultural. educational and community development events throughout the
year in the area of benefit; {e) to provide skills training and personal
development capacity and opportunities for all citizens in the area of benefit:

(f) to offer people In the area of beneflt the opportunlly to particlpate In
actlvllles based on arls and crafls. muslc, song, drama. storytelllng, poetry
and dance: (g) To enhance communlty links between the area of benefit i.e.
the Irlsh language speaklng communlty, tradltlonal and Indlgenous arts

Thls was a formatlve year for Cleamalrl Felrste. We are now registered with
the charlties commlsslon and have opened our buslness bank account with
Ulster Bank in November 2022. Many thanks to Cormac O'Briain for kindly
lettlng us channel bank transaclions temporarily until the new account was
finalised.
Our main goal for this year was to develop the organisation and commence
working together under our new organisational structure as a charity-
Organisationally we have established our board of Trustees and have
assigned board members their roles and responsibilities.
No data breaches were reported.
Artistically we have been working on new plays and material for our
performances. Most noteably we have worked on the structure and artistic
content for four separate types of show: the nursery school show. the primary
school show, the Ceili Drama for adults and a special needs show.
Activities we have undertaken this financial year are as follows:
