Charity Annual Report – 4[th] March 2024
Changing Lives NI had not been active from April 2023, the previous committee due to personal circumstances and lack of interest in helping from other volunteers the charity was on the verge of being dissolved. In February 2024 following the death of a young male in the local area due to death by suicide, a small group of people set up a support group for the friends of the male who had passed away. There was an invite posted on social media advising they would be in the community centre and if anyone needed to get away and the group started from there. The treasurer from the previous committed approached Leeanne who initially set up the drop-in group and asked if they were going to continue with the group would they do it under the charity as that is what it was set up for. After a couple of weeks, the young people kept asking to meet up so it was decided rather than dissolving the charity we would hold the AGM and elect a new committee. The aim was to get the charity off the ground. There was a coffee morning held in April which was very poorly attended.
