.Dennett Valley Health Network
Trustees, Report
For the year ended 31 March 2024 (cont'd)
In 2023 the Dellnett Valley Health Network (DVHN) concluded a 2 year strategic plan of action
for our complex refurbishment and service provision at th¢ Brook Rd site. Promotion of our adult
Good Relalions and Mental Health and Well-being initiatives alongside capital site
refurbishments during the second year of this strategy were completed successfully. This has
allowed the DVHN to mcet the needs of OUT community and service users, these advancements
have also provided a venue that can allow statutory engagement within the rl￿al Sperrins DEA.
Support and funding for this was provided by the Department of Communities and administered
by DCSDC, with other smaller funding support from DCSDC, CLEARIPHA and DAERA
helping provide financial assistance to meet our service delivery facilitation. We concluded a
Central Good Relations Funded Project via the Executive office, which allow us to retain a part-
time member of staff.
The service provision at the complex was delivered to those from the most remote areas of the
DEA, tackling rural and social isolation amongst dwellers. Our centre was used as the main base
for delivering health checks via the local health care practice. We delivered a series of Good
Relations Workshops tackling historical issues of division in the community" this was supported
with the help of the Good Relations team in DCSDC and TEO.
The primary beneficiaries have included those on low income, unemployed, Suff￿Ing anxiety
and depression, and those in areas of Isolation with poor comlllunication infrastwcture. Our
geographical catchment takes in Doneman4 ArtlgarVa￿ Newbuildings, Bready, Donagheady,
Aughabrack, Altishane and Glenmornan.
The Trustees have had regard to the Public benefit guidance issued by the Charity Cornu]ission
for Northern Ireland. Strategically a new consultation and research need of the local community
and hinterlands has been identified as the path of travel to make sure we are continually meeting
the demands of our local stakeholders in the community.
The Trustees have had regard to the Public benefit guidance issued by the Charity Commission
for Northern Jreland.
