Purpose and Objectives of Holy Trinity Foundation:
(a)
The advancement of citizenship and community development
(b) the advancement of education particularly in support of the
community of Holy Trinity College, Cookstown
(c)
the advancement of the arts, culture, heritage and science
(d) the advancement of health
(e)
the advancement of amateur sport
(f)
to promote any other charitable purposes as may from time to
time be determined.
Objectives, Activities and Performance:
In setting our objectives and planning our activities for the year the trustees
have given careful consideration to the Charity Commission Nl's guidance on
public benefit to ensure that the activities have helped to achieve the charity's
purpose and provide a benefit to beneficiaries.
During the year the following fundraising events were held to help meet Holy
Trinity Foundation objectives:
Annual Golf Classic
Annual Pupils Sponsored Walk
Contributions From Businesses
Alumni Donations
Grant Funding- Halifax Foundation
Community Concert
Draw
Much of our fundraising efforts have been focused on the development of
facilities that will ultimately benefit the wider community of Cookstown,
particularly the young people of the town and surrounding areas. We encourage
our young people to get involved in our fundraising efforts which helps instill a
sense of belonging, a sense of accomplishment, it helps them to develop new
skills and to understand the importance of supporting good causes. Young

people and current Holy Trinity College pupils have been involved in the
fundraising efforts of the foundation through helping organise, manage and take
part in the Annual Pupil Sponsored Walk and the Annual Golf Classic. Past pupils,
current pupils and parents of current pupils have hosted fundraising events
Community Concert and a draw for a donated painting, the artist being a past
pupil.
The grant received from the Halifax Foundation was put to good use by l.
providing breakfasts for pupils who were sitting exams and 2. purchasing
musical instruments that are widely used by our extracurricular music
programmes.
To meet one of our key priorities we have submitted a grant application to PHA
Mental Health Support Fund whereby we are proposing to run a 6 week Autism
Support Project. This will be accessible to our widercommunity and surrounding
catchment.
We also carried out further community outreach, and began to discuss possible
capital funding with Crockandun Wind Farm.
