Chairpersons Report - AGM April 2024

I feel privileged to chair Bridge NI and without you all our members this would not happen. A big thankyou to our committee and the support they give us throughout the year without this support we would be lost. A huge thank you for the work Rebecca puts into Bridge NI as you know and I know things just don't happen there is a lot of time spent getting things organised.

The past year we have been active in flower arranging and we welcomed Dorothy who made the stunning flower arrangements that later got presented to our winning members. We made Spring Flowerpots, Our own Member Lynda done Mindfulness, Anne showed us how to personalise our own chopping boards and Prosecco glasses, we done Yoga, Zumba, Quizes and Bridgo Bingo we had Sally doing a perfume evening and again our winning members received some nice gifts, our committee supported us all in making our own Christmas table centre pieces which where stunning.

We always like to challenge ourselves and defiantly did at Castlewellan lake using the body board and followed up with a trip into Newcastle.

Choice housing invited all Bridge NI to a cultural afternoon at the Waterfront, and more recently to Cultra for Soup Stone which I think we can all agree we thoroughly enjoyed. We joined together and enjoyed our January Blues night out at Motown.

We volunteered our time with Volunteer Now that proved a great success and something we will hopefully be repeating in the Autumn with all our members.

We are very pleased in the past two months, bring Bridge NI to Inverary Community Centre and started on our first evening with 7 and on our last evening we had 12 so that is very encouraging for us to grow as a Charity. Our next meeting at Inverary being Monday 22d April. I think that is a brief run down of Bridge Ni in the past year and I look forward to what we have instore for the coming months.

Many Thanks Linda
