relationships that uplift and empower vulnerable members of our community.
Why We Exist:
In today's fast-paced and digitally driven world. loneliness has become an alam)ing epidemic, affecting people
of all agcs and backgrounds. From scniors cxpcricncing thc 105s of loi'cd oncs to isolatcd youth facing bullying
or lack of social integration, loneliness pemieates our society, leading to severe consequences for mental health.

What We Do..
l. Befriending Program: Our flagship befriending progrnm connects trnined volunteers with individuals who are
cxpcricncing lonclincss or social isolation. Thcsc caring rclationships go bcyond casual chats, as our bcfricndcrs
invesi their lime. energy. and hearts in culiivaiing genuine [￿endShIpS.
2. Conllnunity Engagement.. We actively engage with local corntnunities to raise awareness about loneliness and
its impact on mental health. Through workshops, seniinats. aTJd aw'areness campaigns. M'e proinote the value of
human conneciion and encourage people to reach out to Ihose who may be feeling isolated.
3. SpeLialized Support.. We offei specialized befriending serviLes foi various vulnerable gn)ups. inLluding
seniors, individuals with disabilities, refugees, and young people facing diificult life transitions. Our tailored
approach ensures that each indiTr'idual receives the 5UPPOrt they need to th[l￿e.
4. Empowem)enl and Training.. We provide comprehensive Iraining and ongoing support 10 our volunteers,
equipping them Th'ith the necessary skills to build meaning￿1 relationships and handle sensitive situations with
empathy and professionalism.

Statement of Trustees, Responsibilities
Thc tru5tecs are rcsponsiblc for prcparing thc trustecs, report and the financial 5tatcments IT] accordance with the
United Kingdom Accounting Standards (Uniled Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Pracrice) and
applicable law and regulations.
The law applicable to charities requires the trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year which
givc a truc and fair vicw of thc statc of affairs of thc charity and of thc incoming rcsourccs and application of
resources of the charity for that period. In preparing these financial sthiements, the lrnstees are required to:
select suitable accounting policies and then apply theni coTJsistently-
observe the metho(Ls and principles in the Charities SORP.
make judgements and estimates thai are reasonable and prudent-
state whcther applicable accounting standards have beell followed. subject to any material departures
disclosed and explained in the financial statements- and
prepare the financial statcmcnts on the going concern bas.is UDles5 it is inappropriate to presume tbat the
charity will coniinue in business.
Thc trustecs are rcsponsiblc for kccping PTOPCT accounting TeCOTds that disclosc with reasonablc accuracy at any
time the financial position of the charity and enable them to ensure thal the financial statements comply with the
ch￿tleS Act 2011, the Charitics {Accounts and Rcports) Rcgulations 2008. and the provisions of the
conslitution. The trustees are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for taking
rcasonablc stcps for thc prcvcntion and dctcction of fraud and othcr irrcgularitics.
The trustees are responsible for the mainienance and integrity of the corporate and financial inf0m￿tIOn
included on the eharitable Company's website. Legislation governing the PTeparaiion and dissemination of
financial statements may differ from legislation in oiher jurisdictions.
