Flnanclal revlew
The Sncome and expenditure for the year is detailed in the accounts. A major flnanclal concern for
the Foundation as with any charitywlll be the on8oln8 flnanoal sustalnablllty from fundlng In the
years to come. The trustees are aware of the need to mainlain free reserves, especlally In the
current economlc cllrnate. Conlinual fund ralsln8 wlll be necessary In order to retaln sufnclent levels
of reserve5,
We would like to acknowled8e the contSnued support of our funder5 as referred to In note 4 In the
accounts. It is irnportant to recognise that thelr fundln8 really does make an Impact.
The Income lor the year was £374K of whlch £272K was recelved a5 8rant fundln8. The expendlture
of £264K Is expended on charltable actlvltles.
The balance of funds at 31 March 2023 was £243K of whlch £189K was unrestrlcted Income of whkh
£90K is desi8naled funds and E54K restricted funds.
Reserves pollry and 8oln8 concern
The Trustees have examlned the charlty'5 requlrements for reserves conslderlng the maln rlsks to
the organlsatlon and established a formal policy whlch stlpulates that free reserves be maintained at
level whlch ensures that the charity's core artivity could conlinue duriTr8 a perlod of unforeseen
difficulty. Free reserves are defined by the Trustees as unrestrlcted Income funds freely available for
use as the charity so determines and thereby excludes any funds committed, invested in tangible
flxed assets held by the charlty and restrlcted or deslgnated funds.
Reserves are needed to bridge the @ap between the spendln8 and recelvlTh8 of Incorhe and to
cover unplanned emei8ency repairs and other expenditure. The trustees con51der that the Ideal
level of reserve5 as of 31 March 2023 would be £90,000,
Without the support of our funders and contlnued fundralsln8 efforts by staff and volunteers, It Is
doubtful that the Foundatlon could contlnue operallng. The trustees are endeavourin8 to ensure the
success with a cornblnatlon of measures Includln8 fundralsers and applications to fundinB bodie5 In
an effort to secure staff posts and lon8-term sustainability of the charity.

NIAMH LOUISE FOUNDATION
The trustees have revlewed the circumstances of the Foundation and consider that adequate
resources continue to be avallable to fund the activitles of the Foundatlon for the foreseeable
future. The trustees are of the vlew that Foundation is a 8oin8 concern.
A rnajor financial concern for Ihe Foundation as with any charity will be ongoing financial
sustalnability from fundln8 In the years to come. The trustees are aware of the need to maintain
free reseNes, especially in the current economic cllmate. Continual fundraising will provlde
challenginB envlronment in the years to come.
We would like to acknowledge the continued support of our funders as referred to in note 4 in the
account5. It15 important to recognise that their fundln8 really does make a change.
