The directors are pleased to present their annual report together the financial statements of the Charity
for the year ended 31 October 2025 which are also prepared to meet the requirements for a Dlreclors, report
and 8Gcounts for Companies Act purposes.
The financial statements comply with the Charities Act INI) 2008, th8 Charities IAc¢ounts and Rep￿ts)
R8gulalons INI) 2015, Companies Act 2006, thB Mgmorandum and Articles of Association. and Accounting
and ReF)ordng by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practise applic8bEe to charities prepwing their

during the past year.
Our purposes and actlvltles
The Gompanls objects are specifically restrlcted to Ihe followng:
(a) to restore, preserve, conserve and maintain the built and natural envlronment of the Boomh811 Estate and
it8 surrounding landscapes to inlemationally recognised stsndards of conservatlon. By protecting th8
historical, environmental, cultural. archaeological and aesthedc signific8nce of the place,. the charity intends to
make its heritag8 accessible for the use. enjoyment. wellbeing, education and inspiration of wesent and future
generations.,
(bl to advance arts. culture arxj heritage by organising activities and events at the Boomhall Estate and to
educate the public conceming the historfc and cultural heritage of the Estale, the archaedogical and
environmental signrficance of its buildings and landscapes 8nd the conservatlon of bult and natur81
environments generally;
1¢) to provSde, or assist in the provision of facilities wthin the Boomhall Estats and its surroundings for
recreallon and other lelsure time occupation. in a manner in keeping wth the aim of conserving the EsL2te
and Its surroundlngs commen$urat8 with (al above. in the interests of social welfare, wth the objects of
improving the conditions of life of local communiles and the public al18rge.

Achlevements and performance
1. P0S￿ve discussions are taking place wth NLHF and the Shared Island Fund regarding funding
applications, following a successful Expression of Interest.
2. Communty and political support for our propjsals is strengthening.
3. A planning delerminalion could be expected in summer 2026 for our oudine planning appllcation for the
restoration of the mansion house, subject to Completion of reports requested by statutory consutl8e8.
4. Disrjjsstons around fomi8llslng the govem8ncè tsf our relatlonship wth the local Council continue and are
expected lo be completed in advance of funding applications to NLHF and the Shared Island Fund. Local
Council have indic8ted that a letter of comfort ￿11 is$ue in supp)rt of the NLHF funding application.
Flnanclal revlew
During the year income of £23,431 was recelved (31 October 2024 £20,344} and costs of £14,408 were
incurred (31 October 2024 £24,792) to leave a net Income of £9,023 (31 OCto￿r 2024 defiut £4,448). The
reserves at the end of the year were £7,248 (31 October 2024 deficit £1.7751 of %thich £6,705 is unrestricted
and £542 is restricted.
Reserves pollcy and golng concern
Reserves are needed to brfdge the gap be￿ert the spending and receiving of Income and to cover
unplanned emergency costs. Due lo the nature of Charity. no actlwties are started or costs incurred untll
funds are Secured from members. The Trust8es consider that only nominal reserves are necessary to meet
future costs.
Plan8 for future perlods
Trustee8 (x)ntinue to build relationshlps wth local community groups, potential partners and funders in
preparauon for the 8mbitious plans in the coming years.

Company18w requires the trustees to prepare financial slatem8nts for each ffinancral year which giv8 a true
and fair view of the stats of affairs of the charitable company and of the profit or108s of the company for that
year.

We have examlned your chadty attounts as required under secllon 65 of the Charities Act and our
examination was ￿rrIed in accordance wth the general Diraclions given by the Charity Commlssion for
Northem Ireland under section 6519)(bl of the Charities Act. The examinatM included a re￿8W of the
accounUng records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with thos8 records. It also
included consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounls. and seeking explanations from
you as tharity Irustees concerning any such Matters.
