The Bluegrass Playclub is an unicorpotatcd cntity governed by a written constilulion.
Through ilie provision of safe and CoSt￿ffeCtive child care the playclub aims to advance the overall welfare
of the cliildren in its care by promoting the education. welfare. healih and full d¢velopmen¢ of each child and
guarant¢¢ing tlie protection of each cliild from all kinds of hamL

The playclub is managed by a comrnittee which meets at le8St three times a year and which is responsible for
ensuring ihat the playclub complies with Ifs aims and is properly managed.
The committee shall consist of Ihe IK)norary officers, namely the chairperson. secretary aThl tre&surer, tO8ether
with not less than four and not rn0￿ than ninc othu m¢mb¢rs.
Publlc Benefil
The Gharity's managemenl committee have Compli￿ with their duty lo have due regard to the Nl Charity
Commission's publlc benefit guldance when exercising any powers or dutie$ to which the guidance is
r¢l¢vanl.
During Ihe year the playclub provided a happy, caring and safe environment for the children in ils care and in
providing that child care also helped io promote the development of positive self-¢Ste¢m and s¢lf-confiden¢e
in the children who attend the playclub.
Risk Management
The trustees have asscsscd the major risks to which the as%Kiation is exposed. in partieular those related to
the operntions and financcs of thc associalion. and are satisfied that sysleW￿ are in place to mitl8ate the
exposure to the major risks.

applicable law and United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice.
The law applicable to charities in Northern Ireland requires the memEers to prepare financial statements thai
give a Irue and Fair view of the s¢al¢ of affairs of the charity at the end of the financial year and of its surplus
or deficit in ihc financial ycar. In doing so the members are required to:
- select suitable accounling policies and apply them consistently:
- make judgeTnents and estimates that ar¢ r¢&8onable and pru(knt;
prepare the financial sLqtements on Ihe going concern b&sis Unk￿ tt Is inappropriat¢ to presume that the
charity will Continue Tn bu$iness.
The trustees are responsible for maintaining proper accountin8 reo)rds which dI￿105e with reasonable
a¢curacy at any time the financial position of the charity and enables them to ensure that the fingncial
stateinents ¢offlply with the Charities Act (frlorthern Ireland) 2008. The members are also responsibl¢ for
safeguarding the ass¢ts of thc ¢harity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the p￿entIon and det¢ction
of fraud and other irregularities.
A resolution will b¢ proposed at thc Annual General M¢ctin8 that M¢Groarty M¢Caffety & Compjny Ltd be
re•appointed as a¢¢ovntsnts for the charity for the ensuing year.
