unaudited financial statements for the financial year ended 31 December 2023.
The financial slalements are prepared In accordance with the Companies Act 2006, FRS 102 The Financial
Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" and Accounting and Reporting by Charities..
Statement of Recommend￿ Pra¢lice applicable lo charities preparing their financial ststements in accordance with
the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland {FRS 1021.
The Trustees, Report contains the infomialion required lo be provided in the Trustees, Annual Report under the
Statement of Recommended Practice ISORPI guidelines. The trustees of the company are also charity trustees for
the purpose of charity law and under the company's constitution arè known as members of the board of trustees.
In this report the trustees of Dromara Community Group present a summary of ils purpose, govemance, aclivilies,
achievements and finances for the financial financial year 31 De￿mber 2023.
The company is a registered charity and hence the report and results are presented in a form which eomplies wTth the
requirements of the Companies Act 2006 and, although not obliged to comply with the Statement of Recommended
Practice applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland FRS 102. the organisalion has implemented its
recommendations where relevant in these financial statements.
Structure, Governance and Management
structure
Dromara Community Group is a company limited by guarantee. 11 is governed by its memorandum and articles of
association dated 20th March 2013. The company is also registered as a charity with HM revenue and Customs
under r8f XR39197 and has yet to be called for registration by the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland.
The company is under control of the directors who are, therefore, acting trustees for the charity.
Public Benefit
The benefits which flow from the purpose include reducing rural isolation among residents. enabllng residents to
develop supportive social networks. supporting residents to develop new knowledge and skills and providing
opportunities to enjoy local facilities. improve social cohesion and maintain positive mental and physical health. These
benefits will be evidence through word-of-mouth and other means of feedback such as online polls in social media,
completing surveys, and commenlslconveisalions with local residents including suggestions for future activities and
events. In carrying out events and activities including providing facilities for sport, there is always a risk lo participants
however, we ensure appropriate policies and training for activity leaders and volunteers that maintain safe standards
which ensure the benefits outweigh and mitigate risks. The organisalions benefi¢iaries include local residents across
three boroughs for all age groups from under fives lo over 65 years old irrespective of age. gender, ethnic origin.
sexual orienlalion. etc. A Private benefit stemming from our activities includes stall holders gaining a wider customer
base and activity leaderslgroups broadening their audience profile. However, this is incidental bul necessary to the
success and growth of the organisation's purpose.

The principal activity of the Charity is to provide facilities and create opportunities for coming together to meet the
needs of the local community of Dromara Village and surrounding districts without distinction to age, sex. race.

Financial Results
At the end of the financial year the company has assets of £160.82312022 - £160,940) and liabilitigs of £60112022 -
£6011. The net assets of the company have decreased by £11171.
Reserves Position and Policy
The trustee5 continue to monitor and update their reserves poliw in order to establish the level of reserves that are
required to continue lo provide support and investment into all the proj9cls for the n8xI twelve months.

The trustees. who are also directors of Dromara Community Group for the purposes of company law, are responsible
for preparing the financial slalements in accordance wrth applicable law and regulalions.
Company law requires the trustees as the direciors to prepare financial sta18m8nts for each financial year. Under that
law the Injslees have elected lo p￿pa￿ the financial sialements in accordance with United Krngdom Geneially
Accepted Accounting Practice {Uniled Kingdom Accoitnting Standards and applicable lawl induding FRS 102 'The

I have examined the financial statements of the company ft)r the financi81 year ended 31 DeGember 2023, which
comprise the Slalement of Financral Activities linco￿oratIng an Income and Expenditure Accounll. the Balance Sheet
and the related notes.
This ieport is made solely to the company's membeTS, as a body, in accordancè Chapter 3 of Part 16 of the
Companies Act 2006. My work has been undertaken so that I might complle the financial statements that I have been
engaged to compile, report to the 8oard of Trustees that I have done so, and slate those matters that I have agreed to
state lo them in this report and for no other purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I do not accept or assume
responsibility lo anyone other than the company and the companls members. as a body. for my work, or for this
report.

The company's trustees (who are also the directors of tho company for the purposes of company law) are responsible
for the preparation of the financial ststements in accordance with the requirements of the Companies Ad 2006. The

My examination was carrted out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity Commission. An
examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the cornpany and a comparison of the ffnanclal
ststemenls presented with those recoids. 11 also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosure5 in the
financial statements and seeking explanations from the trustees conceming any such matters. The procedures
undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and consequenuy no opinion is given as
lo whether the accounts presanl a 'lrue and fail view and the report is limited to those matters sel out in the
slalemenl below.
Iri connection with my examination. no matter has come to my attention which gives me cause lo beligve that in. any

GENERAL INFORMATION
Dromara Community Group Ss a company limited by guarantee incorporated in Northern Ireland. The
registered office of the company is Lagan Park Centre, 28a Hillsborough Road. Drornara. Co. Down. BT25
2BL, Northern Ireland which is also the principal place of business of the company. The financial statements
have been presented in Pound 1£) which is also the functional currency of the company.
SUMMARY OF SIGNIFICANT ACCOUNTING POLICIES
The following accounting policies have been applied consislenlly in dealing with items which are considered
material in relation lo the charivs financial statements.

The financial statements of the company for the financial year ended 31 December 2017 have beèn prepared
on the going concern basis and in accordance wth the Slalemenl of Recommended Practice {SORPI
"Accounting and Reporting by Charities p￿parIng their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting
Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland FRS 102. applying Section 1A of that standard.
Incoming Resources
Income is recognised by inclusion in the Ststement of Financial Activities only when the company is legally
entitled to the income. performance conditions attached lo the item{sl of income have been mel. the amounts
involved can be measured with sufficient reliability and it is probable that the income will be received by the
company.
Resources Expended
Expenditure is analysed between costs of charitable activities and raising funds. The costs of each a¢tivily are
separately accumulated and disclosed. and analysed according to their major components. Expenditure is
recognised when a legal or constructive obligation exists as a result of a past event, a transfer of economic
benefits is required in settlement and the amount of the obligation can be reliably measured. Support costs
are those functions that assist the work of the company bul cannot be attributed lo one activity. Such costs
are allocated to activities in proportion lo staff time spent or other suitable measure for each activity.

Tangible fixed assets are stated al cost or at valuation. less accumulated depreciation. The charge to
depreciation is calculated lo write off the original cost or valuation of tangible fixed assets. less their eslimaled
