Achievements and performance During the year to 30 September 2022 the chaiitable eompany received lunding, donakn'ons and undertwk the promotion of tovrs and events. Exhib..0ns and tours have commeneed again and proved lo be popular. Famity fvn days, Ulster Scots Summer School. talks, craft fairs, big breakfasts. eoflee momings. battlefield t¢)urs and militsry tours also look place during the year. There are six young people taking part in the Young Amba$wlors programme. They are learning about local history, tour guide training and first aid training. It is hoped, that by the end of the PTogramme they wll become volunteers who Can conduct tours and evenis. The annual Toy Appeal, which helps Portadown Carers ensuTe every child has a loy at Christmas, ran this year along wlh the Ukraine Appeal which involved colleth.ng items lo be sent to Ukraine. There has been more involvement vthh commLbnty groups during the year through our exhilM"tions. h05ting history talks for them and running tOUTS. The stsff and volunteers have stsrted research into members of the 4th Portadown Battalion U15ter Volunteer For in 1913. The research which includes the life stories of those who fought in the 1 st Worfd War wll be induded on an App for the public to use. As part of a funded project, a CATCH programme wll run which will see several community groups avail of a small grant through the charitable company. Meetings have iaken place and the programme wll 500n up and running. This wll hopefully provide a good link wlh local community groups for futu tours, exhibitions, talks. ete.
