The trustees, who are directors forthe purpose5 of company law, present the annual report togetherwlth the flnanclal
statements olthe charitable company forthe year ended 2 May 2024.
Principal Activities
The maln beneflts that flow from the purposes of St Monlca's Boxing Club 15 to help to broaden, as far as posslble, access to
boxing facillties in Newry and surroundlng area in order to enhance particlpatlon and develop physical and mental boxingskllls.
Such participation enhances the physical benefitsto partlcipants by way of healthy actlve partlclpatlon in boxing, Participation
etso encourages sportsmanshlp, dlscipllne and personal development at all levels. It also provides enjoyment to those
spettating.
The benefits are demonstrated through feedback from individual members.
There is no harm ari5ingfrom any of the purposes.
The beneficiaries are people with an interest in boxings spartand physlcal development and indeed anyone in the communlty
who wishes to participate.
Therè Is no harm flowlng from the purposes and any prlvate benefit 15 incidental.
They provide fully qualified boxing coaches to teach local members of the community to box, This can be for general fitness or In
competition such as local club events or national events, We also provide a safe and neutral envlronm@nt For peoplefrom all
communities to come together both to train, learn and break down barriers. We aim to build people to help them gain
conFldence tD reach thÉlrfull potential in life and raise the level of achlevernent of the local area with particular emphasi5 Qn
providlng a sportlng outlet and sporting opportunitie5 forthe local community.
Durlngthe year, there were donations received from the community which was used to purchase a new bulldlng which will be
used a5 Qur boxing club going forward to host events and tralnlngfor club members.
Going Concern
Management have considered a period of at least 12 month5 from the date of approval ofthese financial statements as part of
thelr assessment of the appropriateness of the going concem a55umption, and have concluded that the golng concem basls Is
appropriate.

The Board conslsts of three Trustee5 who administerthe club and meet monthly. The Board has appointed a club Leaderto
manage the day-to-day operations of the club, The leader has delegated authority, withln ten￿5 o*delegated approval, for
operational Matte￿ including staff superwision, delivery of activities and budgetary management. Staff also undertake regular

Act and ire ellgible for independentexamination, it is my responsibility to:
examine the accounts under sectlon 65 of the Charities Act (Northern Irelandl 2008.
- to follow the procedures lald down In thè general Directlons glven by the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland under

- to state whetherparticular matters have come to my attention.
I have examined your charity's accounts as required under sectlon 65 of the Charities Act and my examination was carried out in
accordance with the general Dlrectlons given by the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland under5ection 6519llbl ofthe
Charltlès Act. The examination Included a revlew of the accounting records kept bythe charity and a comparison of the aecountg

I have completed my @xaminatlon.I confirm that no matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination
giving me cause to belleve.,

Basis of pr*paring the flnanclalstatements
The accounts have been prepared underthe historical cost conventlon and in accordance with FRS 102. The Flnanclal Reporting
Standard applicable in the UK and Republlc of Ireland las applied to small entities by section IA of the standard).
Turnover
Turnover Is measured at the farr value of thÈ considèratlon received or receivable, net of discounts and value added taxes.
Tltrnover includes revenue earned from the sale of goods and from the rendéring of s@rvices. Turnover from the sale of goods is
recognised when the Significant ri5k5 and rewards of ownership ofthe goods have transferred to the buyer. Tumoverfrom the
renderlng of servlces Is recognlsed by reference to the stage of completion of the contract. The Stage of completlon of a contract
is measured by comparing the costs incurred for work performed to date to the total estimated contract CQ5ts.
Stocks and work In progress
Stoc1￿ and work-in-progress are valued at the lower of c05t and net reallsable value, after making due allowance for obsolete
2nd slow-moving Stems. Cost includes all direct expenditure and an appropriate proportion of fixed ond varlable overheads.
Work-In-progres5 is reflÉcted In the accounts on a contract by contratt basi5 by recordingturnover and related costs a5 contract
activity progresses.
Fund Structure
Unrestricted income funds are general funds that are available for use at the trustee's dlscretlon in furtherance of the obl@ctivès
of the charity.
Restricted Income funds are those donated for use in a partlculararea or for specific purposes, the use of which is restricted to
that area or purpose.
