The trustees (who are also the directors of AssocÉation of Christian Leaders Ltd for the puryoses of company
law) are responsible for preparing tbe trustees, report and the financial statements in accordance with applicable
law alld United Kingdom Accounting Standards (United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice),
including FRS 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the ifK and Republic of Ireland"
Company law requires the trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year. Under company law
tbe trustees must not approve the financial statements unless they ore satisfied that they give a ttue and faiI view
of the State of affairs of the charitable company and of the illcoming resources and application of resources.

The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records that can disclose with reasonable accuracy at

company and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

As the charity's trustees of Association of Christian Leader5 Ltd (and also its directors for the pury)oses of
company law) you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the
Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
Having satisfied myself that the accounts of Association of Christian Leaders Lld are not required to be audited
under section 65 of Charities Act (Northern) ￿eland 2008 and that an independent examination is needed. It is
my responsibility to:.
- examine the accounts under sethion 65 of the Charxties Act
- to follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission for Northern
Ireland under section 65 (9){b) of the Charities Act

I have examined your charity accounts as r4utred under section 65 of the Charities Act and my examination
was carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity Commission foT Northern Ireland
under section 65(9)(b) of the Charities Ad.
An examination included a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the
ounts presented those records. It also included consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the
accounts. and seeking expalnations from the trustees wncerning any such matters.. I confum that no matters
have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving m¢ cause to believe:

Ststement of compliallce
The fmancial statements have been prepared in accordance with Accounting ond Rep)rting by Charities:
Ststement of Recommended Prnctice (applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordatice with the
Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102)) (issued in October 2019)
- (Charities SORP (FRS 102)), the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland
(FRS 102) and the Companies Act 2006.
Basis ofprep•ration
Association of Christian Leaders Ltd meets the definition of a publiG benefit entity under FRS 102. Assets and
liabilities are initially recogtltsed at historical cost or transaction value unless othenvise stated in the relevant
a￿oUntIng policy notes.
Going concern
The trustees ¢onsider that there are no material uncertainties about th¢ tharity5 ability to continue as a going
concern nor aoy significant area5 of uncertainty that affert the canying value of &55¢ts held by the charity.
Ineome and endowmellts
All income is recognised once the charity has entitlement to the income. it is probable that the income Mll be
received and the amount of the incorne receivable cau be measured reliably.
Donations and legad
Donation5 are recognised when the clwity has been notified in MTiting of both the amount and settlement date.
In the event that a donation is subject tr) conditions that require a level of perfoman¢e by the charity before the
harity is entitled to the funds. the illcome is deferred and not recogtli5ed until either those conditions are fjjlly
mel or the fulfilment of those conditions is wholly within the control of the charity and it is probable that these
conditions will be fulfilled tn the retx)rting period.

Dividends are recognised once the dividend has been declared and notification ba5 been received of the dividend

Expenditsre
All expenditure is recognised once there is a legal or wnstructive obligation to that expendittwe. it is probabl¢
settlement is required and the amount can be measured reliably. All costs are allocated to the applicable
expenditure heading that aggregate similar costs to that category. Where costs cannot be directly attributed tr)
particular headings they have been allocated on a basis (x)nsistent with the use of resources, with ¢entral staff
costs allocated on the basis of time spenL and depreciation charges allocated on the portion of the asset's use.
Other support costs are allocated based on the spread of staff costs.

These are costs incurred in attracting voluntary income, the management of invesknents and those incurred in
trading activities that raise funds.
GoverDallce costs
These include the costs attributable to the charity's compliance w2th wnstitutional and Statutory requirem¢nts,
including audiL strategic management and tThstees meetings and reimbursed expenses.
TaxatioD
The charity is considered to pass the tests sel out in PaTagrdph I Schedule 6 of the Finance Ad 2010 and
therefore it meets the definition of a charitable company for UK corporation t&Y purposes. Accordingly. the
charity is potentially exempt from t￿tIOn in respect of income or capital gains received within categories
covered by Chapter 3 Part i i of the Coryyoration Tax Act 2010 or Section 256 of the Taxation of Chargeable
Gains Act 1992, to the extent that such In￿Me or gains are applied exclusively to charitable purposes.

Individual fixed assets costing £150.00 or more are initially recorded at cosl less any subsequent acaunulated
depreciation and subsequent accumulated impaimient losses.

Trade creditors
Trade creditors are obligations to pay for g(K)ts 01 services that have been acquired in the ordinary course of
business from suppliers. Accounts payable are classified as current liabilities if the charity does not have an
unconditional righl at th¢ end of the reporting period, to defer settlement of the creditor for at least twelve
months after the reporting date. If there is an unconditional right to defer settlement for at least twelve month5
after the reporting date, they are presented as non<U￿ent liabilities.
Trade creditors are recognised ittitially at the transaction price and subsequently measured at 8mortised cost
using the effective interest method.
Borrowings
tnterest-bearing borrowings are initially recorded at fair value, net of transaction costs. Interest-bearin8
borrowings are subsequently carried at amortised cost. with the difference between the proceeds. net of
transaction costs, and the amount due on redemption being recogni5ed as a charge to the Statement of FinarACiat
Activities over the period of the relevant borrowing.
Interest expense is recognised on the basis of the effective interest method and is included in interest payable
and similar charges.
Bon)wings are classified as current liabilities unless the charity has an unconditional right to defer settlernent of
the liability for at le&8t twelve months after the reporting date.
