CHAIR PERSON REPORT 2024 CHAIRMANS REPORT I would take this opportunity to thank all our new and existing volunteers for their hard work though the year. This has been a busy year with people coming back into the community and joining in our activities, bringing a diversity within our group. Our volunteers have completed courses which his help them in future employment and the running of our group. SUMMER FESITVAL 2023 The festival was very successful this year. The turnout was brilliant and I would like to thank the community for their support at the festival and other events. The volunteers that helped were very much appreciated and allowed us to recruit more volunteers with in the local area. Everyone enjoyed the festival and its activities. It was a great opportunity for family and friends to get together. CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE Our young people dressed up at Easter, Halloween and Christmas walking the local area giving out Easter eggs, treats and selection boxes. It was good to see the reaction on local residence young and old, the feed back was second to none. This has helped us to deliver more, with the young dressing up delivering items around the area more of our community our wanting to get involved and take part in our activities. Which brings more people in the community to volunteer as the area has a diversity of volunteers. PARTNERSHIP WORKING During the last year we have continued our partnership working with many organisations within the local area eg, Hillhall Regeneration, Lisburn Cathedral, Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council and other groups. We have built up a very good relationship with statutory provider5 and continue to seek new opportunities.
