Antrim and the surrounding district. and to establish a Family Caring Centre in the area of benefit to assist such people. without distinction of sex, age, religious or political opinion, in improving their conditions of life. The strategies employed to assist the charity to meet these objectives include the following:. providing, maintaining and equipping premises and facilities designed to carry out the objectives of the Centre. organising or assisting in organising classes. lectures, meetings, exhibitions, events and activities consistent with the objectives of the Centre. recruiting, training and employing both employees and volunteers wrth relevant skills to carry out the work of the Centre. providing or assisting in providing information, advi￿ and support to families in need and referring those in need of professional assistance to relevant statutory or voluntary agencies. co-operating to such an extent as may be necessary with voluntary and statutory agencies and the inhabitants of the area of benefit so as to advance the said objectives. raising funds and inviting or receiving contn'butions from any person or persons whatsoever by way of subscription, donation or otherwise. promoting and carrying out, or assisting in promoting and carrying ouc research, Su￿ey5 and investigations and publishing the useful results thereof. Achievements and p¢rformanc8 The charity has been able to ffeet its objectives but only so far as its limited funding during the year has allowed. Financial review Reserves Policy Due to difrulties in finding continuing sources of funding and the consequent need to obtain one￿ff funding from a variety of sources the Management Committee has not been able to formulate a specific policy on reserves. The overall strategy is to build sufficient reserves to fund the charity's day- ttFday activities for a period of three months but until long-temi funding Can be obtained this will not be possible.

Family Caring Centre Independent Auditor's Report to the Members of Family Caring Centre Year ended 31 March 2024 Opinion We have audited the financial statements of Family Caring Centre (the 'charty') for the year ended 31 March 2024 which comprise the statement of financial actNlties, ststement of financial position and the related notes, including a summary of signtficant accounting policies. The financial reporting framework that has been applied in their preparation is applicable law and United Kingdom Accounting standards, including FRS 102 The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (United Kingdom Generalw Accepted Accounting Practsce). In our opinion the financial statements: give a true and fair view of the state of the Charity's affairs as at 31 March 2024 and of its incoming resources and application of resources, including its income and expenditure, for the year then ended., have been properly prepared in accordance wrth United Kingdom Generally AC￿pted Accounting Practice. have been p￿pared in accordan￿ with the requirements of the Charities Act {Northem Ireland) 2008. Basis for opinion We Gonducted our audit in accordance with Intemational Stsndards on Auditing {UK} (ISAS (UK)) and applicable law. Our Esponsibilibes under those standards are further described in the auditor's responsibilities for the audit of the financial statements section of our reporL We are independent of the charity in accordance with the ethical requirements that are relevant to our audit of the financial statements in the UK, including the FRC'S Ethlcal Standard, an¢J we have fulfilled our other ethical responsibilities in accordance with these requirements. We believe that the audit evidence we have obtained ia 8ufficient and appropriate to provide a basis foi our opinion. Conclusions rolating to going concorn In auditing the financial statements, we have concluded that the officers, use of the going concern basis of accounting in the preparation of the financial statements is appropriate. Based on Ihe work we have perfonned. we have not identified any material uncertainties relating to events or conditions that, individualty or Gollectively, may cast significant doubt on the charty's ability to continue as a going concem for a period of at least ￿e1ve months from when the financial statements are authorised for issue.
