The trustees present their report and the financial stalernents for the yfdr ended 5 April 2023. The financial statements have been
prcpared in accordanc¢ with the accounting policies sel out on page 6 and comply with the Charity's Constitution and applicable law.
The Mission Hall, Garvagh is a small charitable group registered with the charity commtssion in Northern Ireland with
registered charity number 107865.
OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
The Mission FIall ELas ￿en offering a place of sanctuary to the local COEnmunity of Garvagh for over 50 years. Opened in 1967
the Garvagh Mission Hall ca￿1¢5 out its puo)oscs Ihrougb Gospel Services on a Sunday evening al 8.15pin ¢0 which a network
of speakers are invited throughout the year lo proclaim the Gospel. Prayer meetings are convened each Monday evening fro
8pm to 9ptn and these are open lo the Churches in the local community lo provide an opportunity for prayer and quiet
reflection. All meetings are non-denominational and ¢veryon¢ is encouraged lo come along for fellowship. The chri￿lan faith
is advanced in the lives of individuals through biblical leaching. worship and prayer and so the bond of fellowship is
strengthened and personal spiritual development enhanced and ellcouraged. It has been observed over the years that some
peopl¢ in the local community who may not be members of a Church congreEation atteThd the Services in the Mission Hall.
Public benefits
The direct beftefits flowing from these purposes in¢lude the raistng of chri￿lanImOral values and standards among Ihose
allending the Servi¢es which will in flow into wider society. The Public Benefits flowing from the putpose5 of The
Mission Hall. Garvagh are evidenced by the personal testimony of changed lives. Personal character qualilies are.
nurtured including honesty, integrity, respect for one's neighbours, greater devotion lo family life and a strong ¢oiTrmitment lo
adhere to Christian values and standards which benefit the local community ofien through acts of kindness and demonstrating
respect for one's fellowman. Attendees become more actively committ￿ within their own denominalioFblchurch. Attendee5
also gain a greater understanding of community as a result of sharing fellowship with people from different denominations.
Th¢ Iransfonnalion and change of lifestyle in the lives of men and women pr&sents a great testimony to t&¢ coinmullity
resulting in a very positive mindset in those observing or engaging with these individuals.
No hann will arise from any of the purposes or is expected to endanger anyone within th¢ eonfujes of The Mission Hall. The
organisation's beneficiaries are the General Publi¢.
There LS no private benefit flowing from any of Ihe purposes.
The trustees have paid due regard lo guidance issued by the Charity Commission ill deciding what aclivLtLes the charity should
undertake.
FINANCIAL REVIEW, ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE
The Nlission Hall is almost entirely ￿nded by the TBF and KL Thompson Tn￿l with a reliriog offering being received
following eacli Sunday Gospel Meeting. The Bank Balance at tlie beginning of the ftnancial year- 6 April 2022 was
£928.75 and at the end of Ihe f￿anCIal year 5, April 2023 £943.94.

It is our responsibility to:

Basi5 of independent examiner's report
I have examined your charity accounts as required under section 65 of the Charities Act and my examination was
carricd out in accordance with the general direGtions given by the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland under
section 65(9)(b) of the Charities Act.
My exatnination included a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts
presented with those records. It also iacluded consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and
seektng explanations from you as charity trustses concerning any such tnatters.
Our role is lo state whetber any rnaterial matters have cotne to OUT attention giving us cause to believe:

1.1 Basis of preparation
Tbe f￿anCIal Statements have been prepared under the bistotical cost convention. The fmancial statements have
been prepared in accordance with the Statement of Recommended Practice {SORP). "Accounting and Reporting
by Charities" publish¢d in 2005 and applicable accounting Sthndards.
1.2 Fulld accounting
General funds are unrestricted funds which a￿ available for use al the discretion of the members in £urtEL¢rance
of the general objectives of the cl￿rIty and which have not beeu designated for other purposes.
1.3 Incoming resources
All incoming resources are included iti Ilje SOFA where the charity is legally entitled to the income alld tbe

1.4 Resources expended
