The Charity is an unincorporated association established under a constitution.
In fulfilling the public benefft requirement, the charity trustees have had regard
to the Charity Commission for Northem Ireland's statutory public benefft
guidance.

The purpose of Omagh Quilters, Guild is to provide an organisation that
encourages its members to promote the craft of quilts.ng for the public benefft
by offering inspiration through regular meeting, workshops and
demonstrations.
The information below sets out the actNities we have carried out to further our
purposes and fuffil the public benefft elements during the last 12 months.
Activities
Omagh Quilters Guild reconvened on 12th October 2022 after a short break for
the Summer.
Ann & Geraldine taught a beginners workshop on 29th September- new
members availed of this class.
Mrs Kathleen Ward conducted an interesting workshop in November where a
number of new skills were taught, which continues to push the boundaries for
our new members and build on the skills for other workshops.
Christmas lunch was again a highlight where we spend time together and
enjoy good food and company.
This year is very busy as we prepare for the Connecting Threads Exhibition
which is scheduled for November 2023 in the Strule Arts Centre. Our show

and Tell is suberb as we continue to encourage and inspire each other with
the variety of projects that are underway for the exhibition. Preparation is also
ongoing to interact with school groups in particular to share the skills involved
in our craft.
We continue to make baby quilts for our Premature Baby Units in the South
West Acute Hospital and Altnagelvin Hospital.
A planned workshop in May had to be shelved as our expected tutor was
unwell. This workshop was procured with funding from Femianagh & Omagh
District Council's Communty Grant Aid so it will be reconvened in September
2023.
We travelled to Sligo in May 2023 with visits to two quilt shops. It was a most
enjoyable and inspirational outing for our members.
A request from a local school which is closing to have a memory quilt made is
underway with visitis to the school to plan the layout. There is much work
involved but we are honoured to be able to reach out to the communty and
help with the planning and completion of this project in September 2023.
Our year end in June was a total relaxing day with a quiz whch proved a lot of
fun and we enjoyed a special lunch together and discussed plans for the year
beginning 181 September 2023.
Finances
In the financial year we collected fees of £1075.00 and had income from sale of
wadding of £275.00 along with Fermanagh & Omagh District Council's Grant
Aid for the year 2022 being paid out to the group, provided an income for the
year of £1848.00.
Rent was paid to the Dun Uladh Cultural Heritage Centre which along with other
expenses. gave a totsl expenditure of £1285.63. We had applied and were
successful for a Communty Grant from Fem)anagh & Omagh District Council
and have submitted the claim forms and are awarting payment.
We have assets which is two Janome Sewing Machines acquired in 2020 and
we have no liabilities.

The Charity's finances are in surplus and accounts are prepared to comply with
the requirements of the Charity Commission for N Ireland.
