All current roles were re-appointed on 30[th] May 2023 at the last Annual General Meeting on 30[th] May 2022.
Purposes
- To help relieve the suffering and distress of people with (1) A Palliative Diagnosis (2) Complex health needs (3) An acute episode of ill health requiring rehabilitation (4) Undergoing major surgery eg transplant (5) Exceptional Circumstance. We aim to do this through financial assistance .
Beneficiaries
- Those who will benefit will be those who live in the catchment area as defined by the townlands named in our Trust Deeds.

Committee attended 3 public events which were donating funds to Galbally Friends Fund (cheque handover from “A Night for Aimee”, JP’s Tractor Run & cheque handover from JP’s Tractor Run).

Payments increased from £1,500 to £2000 in August 2023, due to the increased cost of living.

Financial Review at the end of the year
Despite the current cost of living crisis and our complete reliance on public donations, the group remains in a very strong financial position. We currently have no outstanding debts. We have been able to make amendments to our payments as a result of this strong position. We do not charge any fees.
There are no charges to access this service. There are no restrictions based on personal characteristics.
Public Benefit
The main benefit which flows from our purpose is financial assistance to those outlined in the trust deeds. The secondary benefit is good community relations, good governance in this community group.
Harm
No harm has flowed from any of our purposes.
Serious Incident Reporting
There are no serious incidents to report.
Statement of Compliance
The trustees have complied with their duty to have due regard to the Charity Commission NI’s Public Benefit Guidance when exercising any powers or duties to which the guidance is relevant.
