Trustee Report FYE 31.08.2022

Financial Year End 31 August 2022 was a challenging year for the APF. Our fundraising was limited given the ongoing pandemic. Our biggest fundraiser had always been our Christmas Fayre which we weren’t able to have due to the ongoing restrictions to events. We had to adapt like more organisations. The committee and members worked effectively to deliver an online family fun night and raised a considerable amount of funds. The trustees are very appreciative of the work carried out by everyone involved to deliver our aims in line with our constitution. Total income for financial year of £3346 with a total expenditure of £2381 showed that the APF had a successful year of fundraising and a good number of items bought for St Paul’s PS. The APF were in a position to contribute to the school with items requested by the school and some extras. We remained in a healthy financial position throughout the financial year and were able to finish in the black.

## **Highlights**

- St Marys GA&CC Ahoghill donated hurls, helmets and sliotars upon request from APF to the club. St Mary’s GA&CC Chairperson and our treasurer delivered the items to the school and photos were taken with the children receiving these on 20 November 2021.

- Live here love here Grant of £800 spent on gardening equipment and £500 Ben Vista gift card which will go a long way to provide the children vital environmental skills in the school’s aim towards Eco friendliness.

- Christmas quiz and family night held online – was enjoyed by all.

- APF organised the first leaver’s disco – many thanks to everyone involved.

## **Fundraising**

- The sponsored leg wax raised over £500. Many thanks to Ciara who done this for free. The event was broadcast live on Facebook.

- Christmas raffle £814 profit – many thanks to all the people and businesses who kindly donated and helped make the event run so well.

- Easter raffle raised over £500.

- Raffle at the school play raised over £100.

## **Items paid for APF**

- Sports equipment – footballs, ball bag, pump, ball ropes and hurl grips

- Leavers Disco

- Buses for school trips

- Homework books

The Trustees would like to thank the committee, the school staff and all parent and friends who have helped us deliver for the children of St Paul’s PS Ahoghill. We thank the local community and the businesses who supported us. We look forward to working with you all in the year ahead.
