Annalong Football Club Trustee Report
Charity NIC 107788
Report Year 2022
The club continues to flourish and deliver sporting facilities for 2 Adults teams and provide facilities for the youth section to flourish.
Well over 100 from the local community crossing all religious divides use the facilities on a weekly basis ranging from kids from 5/6 up to adults in their senior years.
All work is carried out by volunteers from our committee which continue to run the club via a management committee which the trustees sit above. Meaning all funds coming into the club are used to further the purpose we exist for.
Seniors – Team compete in mid Ulster football league in reserve section and division 1.
The charity status has enabled grant funding during 2022 of £30k approx (figures in financial report) which has put fencing round our pitch. This has enhanced both playing experience and spectator experience when visiting Annalong. It provides a safer environment to play in with clear boundaries to supporters areas. Great addition.
Health benefits growing within the community as although only 22 players can play each week in the team we have over 50 adults attend for training sessions purely in some cases for the health and community benefits being part of a club like ours brings.
We celebrated 125 years of the club during 2022 (should have been previous year but covid) bringing together many old faces to celebrate. A few have came back into attending and helping out which is great asset helping young folk.
