Treasurers Report Year Ending June 2023
Apologies for missing tonight’s meeting bit I have a family commitment that I was unable to change
Current Balance Barclays £1059.50
Credit Union £706.99
We had another good year of fundraising and held several successful events. We hosted three events and raised a total of £2140.79. These events were all well attended and supported by the parents and children of the school. We had decided at our AGM last year to cut down on expenditure such as Selection boxes, Easter Eggs etc and I feel that in the current climate we need to continue to do this. I think any expenditure should only be for things that the children and the school community will get value from.
It was a much smoother year with the banking with all expenses etc going through online banking transfers which made everything easier. This will be how we will do all our banking from here on in
We were very fortunate to receive a £1000 grant through Tesco’s and thanks must go to Mary Norden for organising this and to Dervla Convery for putting the claim in.
Our Accounts for this year are currently with Declan Magennis Accounting for signature and will hopefully be returned soon.
We contributed £4326.12 to school funds this year and also covered the costs of the 1[st] Communion tea, Christmas gifts and leavers presents.
Already for this coming year we have our Halloween event organised and our quiz in Rice’s Hotel, I am sure there will be lots more plans following tonight’s meeting.
This will be my last year in the Treasurers role so if anyone is interested in it I will be happy to talk them through what it entails etc.
