Chairman Re ort I would like to welcome everyone for attending our AGM this evening. This has been a busy year for all the committee and volunteers of Hillhall Resource Centre with the centre being as busy as ever. The centre has been opened for Ten years now and continues to deliver services for all residents and ages groups within the wider Hillhall area and provide the space for other voluntary and statutory services to be delivered and reach those most in need of them. The Hillhall Regeneration group was constituted in October 1999 which means we will be going twenty-five years this year coming. This is a great achievement for the committee and the local community and also the local Lisburn PCSP as the Hillhall Regeneration Group was formed from a young men group which was formed and developed through the early peace one programmes run by Lisburn PSP. We have had continued support by Lisburn Castlereagh City Council, Northern Ireland Housing Executive and statutory partners to ensure support and guidance to our community. We also provide Benefits clinic (help filling forms & show what they can claim. Sure Start Sure, Start is our anchored tenant and provides a valuable service for the community. They provide sessions from Monday to Friday which includes Little Stars, bumps and babies, stay and play, baby massage and incredible years. Advice Sur The DUP have an advice surgery with NIHE here on the last Wednesday of every month from 10am-11am. Youth Grou s and After School Clubs The youth groups continue to operate almost every night with different age groups being catered for. The Resurgam Youth Outreach Team are out Friday and Saturday nights at hot spots areas to ensure the safety of our young people and provide a safe place for young people which brings the youth provision and centre use up to six nights a week. There is also a homework club provided on a Tuesday and Thursday afternoon. Women's Grou The women's group has been running now for nine years. They self- fund by doing crafts and enjoy and selling the items they make at a small profit. The women are all of various ages. They have enjoyed trips to which we couldn't have had without the Hillhall Regeneration Group and Francie using the minibus. They have also taken part in activities arranged through Gillian at Resurgam. These included a pain management course,. they are currently involved in different projects doing a range of courses. shown very popular within the community and continues to grow. We currently have 55, registered for this some do them at home as they have young children, they bring their finished work up to centre, with more people showing interest each week. This is held every Wednesday from 9am to 5pm as a drop in where everyone is welcome Festivallcoronation The festivallcoronation was very successful this year the turnout was brilliant and I would like to thank the community for their support. It was great. The volunteers that helped out were much appreciated and allowed us to recruit more within the area. This also allowed our young women to sell certain items to raise money towards their group. Providing arts and crafts bouncy castles, BBQ etc New Peace The committee are involved in the Peace project that we are using to develop a plan and drawings to develop the green field site beside the lagan. The committee have been lobbying for years for investment into this site that will provide facilities and activities for all residents we are working closely with the Resurgam Trust, Local Politicians and the Cathedral church to develop this project. Lisburn Safe There are local residents and committee members from Hillhall involved in Lisburn Safe who play great role in the community. They helped to deliver food hampers & Meals and helped out when residents needed anything like shopping and collecting prescriptions. JJJJJJ Trainin The training the volunteers have completed in the last year: First Aid & Defibrillation Designated Officer Safe Guarding Keeping Children Safe Sexual Behaviours (Traffic Lights) Highfield Level 2 Fire Safety Safe Place Benefits clinic As many of you know we would not be able to provide a lot of the services we do without the help and support of The Resurgam Trust which we are a member group of. They have been invaluable to us from the planning of the centre and continue to be a major support to us today. We also appreciate the help of LCCC, local councillors and other agencies have giving us throughout the year. So a special thank you to them all for their continued support. I would like to finish by thanking the committee and volunteers for all their hard work over the year and hope that it continues with the new committee. I would like to thank Andrea, for taking on the job of running the centre and work together as a good team with the committee. As I work mainly up in the 3D youth Centre.
