Financial review
Polty on raerves
The Trustees of the charity hav¢ established a policy whereby the unrestricted fimds not committed or invested
in tangible fixed &8sets ('the free reserves,) held by the charity should amount to between 2 and 6 Months worth
of the resour¢¢s expended which equates to between £3,042 and £9,127 in general funds. At this l¢v¢l, the
Trustees feel that they would be able to eontinue the Current activities of the charity in the event of a si.¢mificant
drop in ￿nding) bowever At would obviously be n¢cessary to Consider how the fimding would be replaced or
aclivities challged. At present the free reserves (which exclude designated funds), amount to £15,746 and are
above thè Trustees, target range. The Trustees continu¢ to work towards maintaining their free reserves target.
Going coneern
The trustees assess whethcr the use of going concern is appropriate i.e. whetlier there ar¢ any material
uncertainties related to uvents or conditions that may cast significant doubt on th¢ abilily of the charity to
continue as a going coniern. The trustees make this ass¢ssment itt respect of a period of one year from the date
of approval of the financial statsments.
Th¢ nature of ￿ndIng is such that Trus*es cannot be certain that projected future funding will materialise.
At the time of approving the accounts, despite financial challenges and following assessment the Trustees have a
reasonable expectation that the charity h&8 adequate r¢sources to coiitinue in operational existence for the
fore8¢eable future, Thus the Trustees Continue to adopt the going concern basis of accounting in preparing these
financial statcmcnts.

Financial instruments
Objeclivu andpolieles
The charity's activities expose it to a number of financial risks including credit risk, cash flow risk and liquidity
risk. Th¢ use of f￿ancial derivatives is gov¢rned by the charity's policies approved by the board of trugtees,
which provide written principles on the use of financial derivatives to manage these risks. The charity does not
use derivative financial instruments for speculative purposes.
Cashflow risk
The charity's activities expose it primarily to the financial risks of changes in foreign currency exchange rates
and interest rates. The charity uses foreign exchange forward contracts and interest rate swap contracts to hedge
these exposures.
Interest bearing assets and liabilities are held at fixed rate to ensure certainty of cash flows.
Credlt rtsk
The ch&rity'S principal financial asscts are bank b81ances and Cash, trade and other receivables, and inve8tmcnts,
The cliarity's credit ri8k is primarily attributable to its trade receivab1¢5. The amounts presented in the balan¢¢
sheet are net of allowances for doubt￿1 receivables. kn allowtince for impairment is made wheTe thvrc is an
identified loss ¢vent which, based on previous experience. is ¢vidcnce of a reduction in the recoverability of the
cash flows.
The credit risk on liquid funds and derivative financial instruments is limited because the counteryjarties are
banks with high credit-ratings assigned by international credit-rating agencies.
The charity has no signifiLant concentration of credit risk, with exposure spread over a large number of
counterparties and customers.
Llquldity risk
In order to maintain liquidity to ensure that sufficient fimds are available for ongoing operations and future
developnients, the charity uses a mixture of long-terni and short-tenn debt finance.
Furtlier details regarding Ixquidity risk can be found in the Stal¢rnent of accounting policies in the fmancial
statements.
